    摘要: A boat windshield, and labor saving method of manufacturing the boat windshield, are provided. The conventional components of a generally polygonal configuration frame, a piece of boat windshield sheet material that is transparent, and a mechanism for connecting the frame to a boat so as to construct a boat windshield are utilized. However the flexible gasket material that is provided in an inwardly facing channel of the frame, instead of being a number of discrete pieces which are cut and fit together at the corners, comprises an integral single piece of flexible (preferably elastomeric) material having continuous and integral corners corresponding to and disposed within the channels of the frame, the corners between the frame sides. The integral gasket corners are preferably produced by transfer molding. Only a small amount of caulk is used at the frame corners.

    摘要: A corner formation is made in an architectural glazing strip that has an elastomer-encased spring material formed of a resilient wire element in a transverse pattern of zig-zag loops with the strip having an anchorage edge and a glass-engaging edge. The strip is cut inward from the anchorage edge between the pair of wire loops that occur at the corner, and the cut is stopped at the wire extending between the pair of loops. Then the strip is bent 90.degree. at the corner to open a substantially square space between the wire loops. A resilient element is placed in this space and has the transverse cross-sectional shape of the spring material, and an elastomeric material encases the resilient element and is secured to the strip around the corner. The result provides an even and uniform corner having resilient pressure all the way around the corner.

    摘要: A structural assembly comprises a generally planar framework that carries sealing means projecting to one side of the plane of the framework, infill panels or glazing panes being inserted in the sealing means to form a weathertight face therewith. Some of the frame members, particularly those inside the boundaries of the framework, are interconnected by means allowing limited relative movement between the members. The sealing means include unitary sealing members at the junctions of the frame members, sealing strips being held in compression between opposed unitary members to maintain a seal at the abutting interfaces of the sealing members and the sealing strips.
