    摘要: A balancer, attachable via its attaching portion to a rotatable body, and rotatable together therewith about its rotation axis, includes: weights of same mass and shape; and a weight holder with storage chambers for housing the weights, respectively, such that the weights can oscillate in arbitrary directions. The weight is shaped similar to and smaller than the chamber. The chamber is a cylindrical space extending alongside its central axis; and has concave curved ends perpendicular to the central axis. Midpoints of the central axes of the chambers are contact points on a circumference of a circle having the rotation axis as its center and being on an arbitrary plane perpendicular to the rotation axis; and are positioned so that they create a rotational symmetry around the rotation axis. The balancer can correct dynamic imbalance in rotatable bodies, such as machine tools, at both low-speeds and high-speeds of rotation.

    摘要: A machine for balancing vehicle wheels includes: a base frame; a balancing shaft on which a vehicle wheel to be balanced can be fixed; a rotoidal resting unit, fitted on the base frame and supporting the balancing shaft in a revolving way around its own axis; and motor elements for placing in rotation the balancing shaft around its own axis; wherein the balancing shaft includes at least a measuring section which is magnetized and subject to a stress condition due to the unbalance of the wheel revolving on the balancing shaft, in proximity of the measuring section being arranged magnetic field sensor elements which are suitable for detecting by magnetostrictive effect the stress condition of the measuring section and are operatively associated with at least one processing and control unit suitable for determining the unbalance of the wheel starting from the stress condition of the measuring section.

    摘要: An apparatus and method for automatic balancing and inertial damping of vibrations in a rotor are disclosed. According to one embodiment, a rotor drive shaft is adapted to mount a rotor and rotate the rotor. A lower drive shaft connects to a source of rotation. A flexible coupling attaches the rotor drive shaft to the lower drive shaft and transfers a rotational force applied by the source of rotation to the rotor while permitting relative lateral motion between the rotor drive shaft and the lower drive shaft. An inertial coupling is coupled to the rotor drive shaft and provides inertial resistance to the relative lateral motion. A clamping collar is coupled to the inertial coupling to couple the inertial coupling to a chassis and permit the relative lateral motion between the rotor drive shaft and the lower drive shaft.

    摘要: The present invention provides an enhanced system and method for compensating for load imbalances of rotating members. An imbalance compensator may have a balancing ring wirelessly controlled by a ring controller. The balancing ring may have a housing containing a plurality of actuators configured to exert force against a compensation ring within the housing. The actuators may move the compensation ring with respect to the axis of rotation of the shaft in a direction substantially opposite the direction of the imbalance. The actuators may directly contact the compensation ring, or may exert the force through the use of mechanical transfer devices that provide a selected mechanical advantage. Alternatively, a chamber containing a magnetic fluid may be used to provide a counterbalancing mass. Particles within the magnetic fluid maybe concentrated opposite the imbalance direction through the use of electromagnets or permanent magnets mounted on movable carts. As another alternative, fluid maybe pumped between a plurality of chambers by one or more micropumps, with or without the use of valves to control the fluid flow.

Pivot pins are installed in the supporting plate and two or more pendulums are arranged around the supporting plate. The pivot pins and pendulums are linked by connectors, such that upon rotation of the shaft, the connectors are elastically transformed and a centroid of the pendulums faces a centroid of the disk, centered around the rotating shaft of the spindle motor, due to a centrifugal force.
