    Abstract: A seal assembly is for sealing between an outer member and an inner member, one of which is rotatable about a central axis. An outer annular case is coupled with the outer member and an inner annular case is disposed within and spaced radially inwardly from the outer case. An annular sealing member is disposed within and coupled with the inner case, the sealing member having a centerline coaxial with the central axis and a sealing lip or lips engaged with the inner member. An annular elastomeric coupler has a first axial end attached to the outer case and a second axial end attached to the inner case. The elastomeric coupler is radially deflectable such that the outer case or inner case is radially displaceable relative to the other one of the two cases while the centerline of the sealing member remains coaxial with the central axis.

The seal may accommodate significant axle deflection, while retaining a fluid-tight seal between multiple sealing surfaces.     Abstract: A seal assembly includes a first and second machine element, a seal and a support ring. The support ring has a first side edge facing a high-pressure side which is partially convexly curved, formed obliquely or is partially formed at an acute angle relative to a movement axis of the two machine elements. The seal has a retaining portion and a primary sealing lip extending from the retaining portion on the high-pressure side and abuts in a dynamically sealing manner against a sealing surface of the second machine element. The primary sealing lip directly abuts and is supported over the majority of its longitudinal extent on the first side edge of the support ring on the low-pressure side. The retaining section of the seal is held clamped between the support ring and the first machine element and abuts the first machine element in a statically or indirectly statically sealing manner.

    Abstract: A reciprocating saw includes a housing assembly and a motor positioned within the housing assembly. The motor includes a pinion. A drive mechanism is positioned within the housing assembly and includes a gear driven by the pinion, a hub coupled to the gear, a spindle, and a connecting rod. A clutch assembly is coupled to the drive mechanism to selectively transmit drive force form the gear to the hub. The clutch assembly includes a first disk coupled to the gear, a second disk coupled to the hub, a biasing member, and a threaded fastener. The biasing member is positioned between the hub and the gear to bias the first and second disks into frictional engagement. The threaded fastener extends through the gear and threadably engages the hub to couple the hub to the gear. Tightening the threaded fastener pulls the hub toward the gear to preload the biasing member.

    Abstract: A rotary seal arrangement includes a first machine part being a shaft and a second machine part encompassing the shaft. The first and second machine parts are spaced apart and rotatable relative to one another forming a sealing gap. A seal holding structure is formed on one of the two machine parts. A rotary seal has a foot section and a sealing lip connected via a connecting section. The foot section is arranged on or in the seal holding structure. The sealing lip rests sealingly on a sealing surface of the respective other machine part to seal an oil side from an outside of the rotary seal arrangement. On the oil side there is a foam ring with a base body and with a holding section which surrounds the first machine part and which is held on the foot section of the rotary seal via the holding section.

    Abstract: A system for measuring wear of a radial lip seal arranged circumferentially over a rotatable axle A sensor is configured to measure the wear of the radial lip seal by measuring the distance between the sensor and the radial lip seal. The wear of the radial lip seal corresponds to the distance of the radial lip seal from the sensor. The distance is measured between the sensor and the outer diameter of the radial lip seal. The sensor is configured for dynamic measuring of the radial lip seal and static measuring of the radial lip seal and to predict the replacement of the radial lip seal. Static measuring refers to the measurement performed by the sensor when the rotatable axle is stationary and dynamic measuring refers to the measurement performed by the sensor when the rotatable axle is rotating.
