    摘要： Embodiments of the invention include a firearm system and method of assembly of the firearm system including a receiver complex including a receiver coupled to a forward receiver. A feed port is positioned between the receiver and the forward receiver, and a striker coil assembly is positioned proximate the receiver, and includes a plurality of strikers each extending at least partially through a coil. An interchangeable barrel is coupled to the forward receiver forming a breech. In some embodiments, the firearm system includes a breech that includes a plurality of side-by-side bores of the barrel. Some embodiments include a magazine coupled to the receiver complex adjacent the feedport to simultaneously feed more than one dischargeable projectile into the feedport with a single charge block. In some embodiments, the charge block includes a plurality of chambers and a plurality of projectiles positioned within the plurality of chambers.

    摘要： A light-weight firearm and related fabrication method are described for a wear resistant feed ramp for chambering cartridges from an ammunition magazine. In one embodiment, the firearm includes a barrel and a frame defining a magazine well and cartridge feed ramp. A wear insert formed of a different material than the frame is implanted in the feed ramp adjacent to the barrel chamber. The wear insert is then machined in situ to shape forming an obliquely angled wear surface. After machining, both the frame and implanted wear insert undergo a surface hardening process together. The surface hardened wear insert has a greater surface hardness than the surface hardened frame and is better adapted to resist wear after repeated chambering of rounds. In one non-limiting example, the frame may be hard anodized aluminum and the wear insert hard anodized titanium.

    摘要： A multiple cartridge assembly is described which facilitates speed loading of a four barrel less than lethal gun. Four less than lethal cartridges are attached to the multiple cartridge assembly and arranged to correspond with the breech of a four barrel less than lethal gun. Each less than lethal cartridge is constructed with a projectile which when fired has a velocity which will not kill an individual struck by the projectile. The less than lethal cartridge has a rim which is deeper or thicker than a rim on a conventional lethal cartridge. The caliber of the cartridge is also selected so that regular lethal ammunition is not available in this caliber. The preferred caliber of the less than lethal cartridge is 0.490. The less than lethal cartridge contains a polymeric projectile or alternatively, a sealed filled polymeric pouch containing shot therein.

    摘要： A small, lightweight multi-shot pistol, preferably includes a readily field removable receiver having two barrels in an over/under configuration. The butt of the pistol includes a storage chamber holding two spare cartridges. The single trigger is a double action trigger. The configuration of the pistol is such that two shots may be rapidly fired in a “double tap” manner, and the receiver can then be released using a thumb latch, whereby the receiver will be tilted upward and an auto-ejector will eject the spent cartridges. The spare cartridges are held together using a speed loader device which holds them so that they are properly aligned for speedy insertion into the breach of the tilted receiver.
