    摘要： A pneumatic speargun for spearfishing and a related method of loading and firing includes a cylinder having a head and a body with a hand grip, a slide guide for a spear, a reservoir for a pressurized fluid, and a barrel connected to the reservoir. A piston is slidingly mounted in the barrel for movement from an end loading positions, in which it is retained, to an end discharge position. A trigger releases the retaining system and causes the piston to move from the selected end loading position to the end discharge position. The piston in the loading position is removably connected to the spear via a cable and a return system and the spear becomes propelled as the piston moves from the end discharge position to the selected end loading position by pulling the cable.

    摘要： The present invention relates to a gun for using compressed gas to propel an arrow. The gun comprises a hollow barrel adapted to accommodate the arrow. The barrel has an open rear end and an open front end. The gun also includes a cylindrical chamber having a front end through which the barrel extends, a closed rear end, and a gas inlet for connecting the cylindrical chamber to a source of compressed gas. The cylindrical chamber is adapted to hermetically enclose the open rear end of the barrel and is axially movable between a non-firing position where the closed rear end of the cylindrical chamber sealingly engages the open rear end of the barrel, and a firing position where the closed rear end of the cylindrical chamber is displaced from the open rear end of the barrel to allow compressed gas to pass into the barrel via the open rear end of the barrel so as to propel the arrow out the open front end of the barrel. The gun has a simple and robust construction, and has a well-balanced behavior during use.

    摘要： A launching device of the present invention includes a launch unit having a first coupling element and a second coupling element. A barrel may be releasably connected to one of the first and second coupling elements and a cylinder may be releasably connected to the other of the first and second coupling elements. The launch unit further includes a selector element to allow a user to pre-select an evacuation level of the contents of the cylinder. A specially designed valve assembly, bolt assembly and locking sear may also be incorporated that allow complete evacuation of the compressed gas through the launch unit and permit the projection of large objects such as grappling hooks. The launching device may also be converted to use as a fire extinguisher by quick connecting a cone shaped barrel and a cylinder of liquid carbon dioxide.

    摘要： A valve, connectable to a source of compressed gas, having a closing member movable into and out of a valve closing position, and a triggering mechanism by which the closing member can be moved from that position. Gas pressure in the valve holds the closing member in its valve closing position until the triggering mechanism is actuated. The triggering mechanism includes a cam segment and a cam follower pin, the pin being positioned to unseat the closing member when induced to do so by movement of the cam segment. The valve can be used to control the flow of propulsion gas through a spear-fishing gun. A spear is mounted on a rod through which compressed air is forced. The compressed air is forced out through openings in the side of the rod so as to act on a flexible sleeve which in turn acts against the open end of the spear mounted on the sleeve. The pressure on the open end of the spear holds the spear in place while sufficient pressure for projecting the spear is being built-up in the hollow portion of the spear. The closed end portion of the hollow area of the spear is adjacent the open end of the rod from which the compressed air flows.
