摘要： A graphics-aided geodesic device is provided. The device may include a display, camera, distance meter, GNSS (Global Navigation Satellite System, including GPS, GLONASS, and Galileo) receiver and antenna, and horizon sensors. Data from the camera and horizon sensors may be displayed to assist the user in positioning the device over a point of interest. In one example, the distance meter may be used to determine the position of the point of interest. In another example, images of the point of interest taken from multiple locations may be used to determine the position of the point of interest.

摘要： A combination target reflector, light emitter and bracket assembly is disclosed for use in marking points during the taking of a land survey. The combination is pivotally connected to a central rod of a target tripod or a tripod that supports a target reflector. The disclosed combination includes first and second arms and a light emitter that is held in axial alignment with the target reflector. The first arm is pivotally and perpendicularly connected to the central rod of the tripod. The second arm is perpendicularly connected to the target reflector and the light emitter. The tripod can be moved close to a point to be marked, the tripod can be adjusted to plumb the target reflector and then the second arms, light emitter and target reflector can be moved out of axial alignment with the rod to mark the point without moving the tripod. As a result, the conventional trial and error procedure currently employed can be avoided.

摘要： The device of the present invention comprises a tripod having a platform at its top and three legs pivotally connected at their upper ends to the platform member and diverging downwardly and outwardly therefrom. Three connecting members interconnect the lower ends of the tripod legs. A stake holding means is provided on the tripod and includes an upper bracket connected to the tripod platform and a lower bracket connected to one of the connecting members. The upper and lower brackets each have an opening therein, and the openings of the two brackets are vertically registered for receiving a surveyor's stake.

摘要： A combination tool includes a surveyor's rod having a tubular body and a hammer that is slidable within the tubular body using an external handle. The tubular body defines an opening to insert a nail to be hammered into a surface below the tubular body. A nail-loading device may be affixed adjacent to the tubular body. The nail-loading device has a tube for receiving a nail and a lever arm that can be pivoted away from the tube to receive a nail and then pivoted back to its resting position to force the nail into the tubular body through the opening in the tubular body. A hammer-stop may be affixed to the tubular body to form a physical stop to the downward movement of the hammer. A handle lock may be employed along with a rod-tip point.

摘要： A circular target type bubble level slides easily onto and off of a standard surveyor's sight rod. When slid into position at any desired elevation on the rod for optimal viewing and released, the device automatically assumes a position such that the indicating plane of the level is exactly at right angles to the long axis of the rod. When the rod is adjusted so that the bubble level indicates the true horizontal, then the rod will be plumb. The rod is received in a through hole of a rod-encircling member. A spring bias element within the hole is forced against the rod. This forces a diametrally opposed support wall portion of the member against the rod with sufficient force to hold the level at any position on the rod without operator adjustment. It also automatically positions the indicating plane of the level orthogonal to the long axis of the rod, because the bubble level element is rigidly mounted with the desired orientation relative to the support wall portion forced against the rod.
