摘要:
A tactile handle integrated scale that measures the weight of an attached element and provides tactile output. The handle with an integrated scale can be attached onto luggage, a briefcase, a backpack, or other liftable objects. The scale provides tactile output and a tactile gauge, so that users can ascertain the weight using touch only and without requiring visual inspection of the gauge. A switch may be provided to enable or disable the measurement feature of the handle. The handle may be attached to the liftable object using linkages that permit rotation of the object relative to the handle.

A big dial platform scale includes a scale base. A weight sensing apparatus is supported on the base including a weight supporting platform movable relative to the base and a weight sensing mechanism responsive to movement of the platform for moving a beam. A weight indicating apparatus is supported on the base for rotation relative thereto for indicating weight on the platform. A pinion is operatively connected to the weight indicating apparatus for rotating the weight indicating apparatus. A rack is movably supported on the base and operatively engages the pinion for rotating the same. A spring rope is connected between the beam and the rack for transferring movement of the beam to the rack to drive the weight indicating apparatus.

A bath scale of the type having a platform supported by force gathering levers carried by a base pan is made of reduced height through the use of a compression load spring and a molded plastic support which mounts the indicator dial, the calibration mechanism and the linkage which interconnects the load spring and the pinion for the indicator dial.
摘要:
A portable weighing scale of reduced size is adapted to permit the weighing of a person while standing with one foot on the platform of the scale, the weight being manifested by an indicator dial which is latched in weight-indicating position and which maintains the weight indication after the person being weighed has stepped off of the platform. A linkage which permits a degree of lost motion is interposed between the platform and the indicator dial, so that the platform can return to its normal position while the indicator dial remains in weight-indicating position, where it remains until reset to its zero position by operation of a latch release. The scale is stable and does not tend to tip over, even when a person's weight is concentrated at one corner of the platform. A one-piece base incorporates, at fixed positions, a plurality of knife edges, formed integrally with the base, which supports the levers and beams making up the linkage between the platform and the indicator dial. The integral construction of the base assures accurate location of the knife edges in relation to each other and achieves maximum accuracy of the scale.
