摘要： An apparatus for measuring the amount of medication in a sealed metered dose inhaler dispenser comprises a housing in which a mounting platform is located. An aperture in the housing allows the dispenser to be placed on the platform. Displacement of the platform is correlated with the weight of the dispenser and contents. The weight is displayed as an indication of the amount of medication in the dispenser from full to empty. The platform means may rest on a compression spring, the deflection of the spring being correlated with the applied weight. Tabs associated with the platform align with indicia on the exterior of the housing to indicate the degree of dispenser fill.

摘要： A panel having a suspending hook at a lower end thereof slidably receives an optimum-weight comparison chart. The hook is used to support a basket or sling in which a child is held for weighing. A spring-loaded limb overlies the panel, and has a stylus in an end thereof, with a second hook at the opposite end thereof. The second hook is used to suspend the panel from a tree branch, a beam, or such, and the weight of a child causes the panel to descend, against the biasing of the spring-loaded limb. The stylus is depressed to make a hole in the chart for comparison with an optimum trajectory of weight/development of children of like age, and to keep a record of the measured weight, and to track weight gain or loss with successive weighings and stylus hole-punching of the chart.

摘要： A tension scale device particularly suitable for measuring pan tension on a leghold trap. The device comprises a housing with a slot and an open front end, a compression member preferably a spring in the housing, and a movable member having a rear portion that telescopes in the housing and a front portion that extends beyond the front end of the housing. The spring is compressed by moving the movable member into the housing. A scale is provided on the movable member together with a slidable indicator. When the front end of the movable member is pressed onto a trap pan or like tension member being measured, the scale indicates the amount of weight or tension being applied to a tension device.

摘要： A set point postal scale comprises in a first embodiment thereof a transparent tubular holder having a lower base, a weighing pan having a plunger depending therefrom, a compression spring disposed within the holder, and a set of annular rings. The plunger is slidingly engaged within the holder and is in abutment with the spring which resists downward displacements of the weighing pan. The differently colored rings are slid along the holder to selected positions thereon corresponding to given weights as determined by a set of calibration weights provided with the scale. In a second embodiment thereof, the holder is suspended by a hooked appendage on an upper portion thereof and the weighing pan is replaced by a angled tray depending from a lower end of the spring which now acts in tension within the transparent holder.

摘要： An improved weigh scale and fish landing device wherein the spring scale can be adjusted or zeroed in a tamper-proof manner. In one embodiment the fish landing device is a fish landing net having an elongate handle. The weigh scale includes a cylinder axially journalled on the handle with the handle extending completely through said cylinder. There is an annular chamber within the cylinder exteriorly of said handle with the annular chamber being closed at one end of said cylinder by a bearing end fixed to said cylinder and fitting closely about said handle while allowing free axial movement of said handle. A coil compression spring is positioned in said chamber about said handle and bearing at one end against said bearing end. A transverse pin is disposed slidably in said chamber extending from said handle and protruding therefrom, the other end of said coil spring bearing against said pin. There are weight calibrations visible on the cylinder adjacent said pin to indicate the weight of the fish when the net is in a lowered position. In a preferred manner one or more spacing elements are placed between the spring and the bearing end to provide the adjustment of the spring.

The digital indication and processing circuit comprises preferably an oscillator including capacitance as a component of an oscillating time constant and a converter for converting the change in oscillating frequencies of the oscillator to a digital amount representative of the weight.

In the present invention this digit is reactivated automatically upon activation of the tare key if the weight after taring is less than the predetermined fine range limiting weight.
