    摘要: Electronic scales having an integrated computer including a display for presenting information to a user, an input unit for entering selection data by a user, a memory for storing a plurality of activatable profiles as sets of parameter values for assignment to corresponding sets of parameters, and a data processing unit for controlling the display, the input unit, and the memory, and for determining and processing measured values in accordance with the current activated profile. The measured values are generated during a weighing operation by the user. To determine a profile, a user is requested, over a plurality of successive steps, to select one of several options presented by the display, the combination of the options presented in a step being dependent on the selection made in the preceding step. Then, during the weighing operation, the user is requested, again, over a plurality of successive steps, to perform an action presented by the display. A request, is a function of the type of actual current activated profile, and is made only if the action requested in the preceding step is confirmed as carried out.

    摘要: A weighing apparatus comprises a plurality of load cells and a load platform, supported by the load cells. The apparatus includes means associated with each load cell to supply a digital representation of the load on each load cell. The load cells are connected together to form a communication network. In the network, a digital representation of the load on each load cell is generated, and a correction coefficient of the digital representation for each cell is determined. The correction coefficient is stored in each respective load cell, and again of each load cell is varied according to its correction coefficient to generate a correct digital representation of the load for each load cell.

All of the scales are connected to a central station which serves to display, monitor, store and process weight data from the scales. The central station comprises a personal computer, a monitor and a keyboard which are mounted on a rack. Hardware associated with the scales generates protocols for the latter. The protocol for each scale includes the respective weight data in digital form as well as identifying data for the scale. The protocols are sent to the central station where the identifying data are used to link weight data to a particular scale.
