    摘要: In one embodiment, a flow-estimation processor receives one or more flow-depth measurements with each flow-depth measurement having been taken at a respective time. The processor calculates a respective estimated flow rate for each of the times based on the corresponding flow-depth measurement and one or more flow-estimation parameters each set to a respective initial value. The processor outputs the estimated flow rates for presentation via a user interface, and receives via the user interface one or more updated values corresponding respectively to a flow-estimation parameter. The processor calculates an updated estimated flow rate for each of the one or more times, such that each respective updated estimated flow rate is calculated based on the received updated values. The processor then outputs the updated estimated flow rates for presentation via the user interface.

    摘要: A pair of electro-acoustic transducers, one functioning as a speaker and the other functioning as a microphone, are operatively coupled to a reference which in turn is in communication with a fluid. A regenerative frequency filtering loop is operatively coupled between the transducers and functions to apply amplified signal to the speaker and produce an acoustic signal which propagates through the medium. The acoustic signal is sensed by the microphone and coupled to the regenerative loop input. For certain frequencies, the spacing between the transducers together with the speed of propagation of sound through the fluid combine with the frequency filtering of the regenerative loop to cause the loop to regenerate at a frequency indicative of the relative speed between the reference and the fluid.

    摘要: An ultrasonic flowmeter arrangement has a pair of electroacoustic transmit/receive transducers located in opposite walls of a pipe, the transducers being longitudinally displaced and facing one another, thus forming a bidirectional transmission path oblique to the direction of fluid flow in the pipe. Each transducer is driven by a voltage controlled oscillator operating sometimes at nominally the same frequency. In one case the oscillator outputs are divided down separately to provide two different transmission frequencies. Filters apply to phase comparison means corresponding transmitted and received frequencies. The outputs of the phase comparison means provide feedback control signals for the oscillators. The oscillator outputs are fed to a mixing means to derive a difference frequency signal as a measure of the rate of fluid flow in the pipe.

    摘要: Systems and methods for liquid flow sensing and control for use with a variety of different types of liquid flow measurement and control systems. The liquid flow sensor system senses a flow signal indicative of the flow rate of the liquid flowing in a sensor conduit and analyzes the flow signal to determine, by detecting characteristic changes in the signal, whether a bubble is present in the sensor conduit. Where the system determines that a bubble is present, it may generate an alarm signal indicative of the presence of the bubble. A flow control system incorporating the flow sensor as a feedback source may respond to the detection of a bubble by temporarily freezing the flow control parameters until the bubble has exited the sensor conduit. The flow control system can implement procedures for clearing a bubble from the sensor conduit where the system detects that the bubble has become stuck.

    摘要: During sing-around-type measurement in a fluid, a transmitter repeatedly transmits sound pulses in the fluid, and these sound pulses are received by a receiver, which acoustically is disposed opposite to the transmitter. The detection of the reception of a sound pulse at the receiver triggers the transmission of a subsequent sound pulse by the transmitter. In order to avoid any interference from multiple-reflected sound pulses, a delay is produced with the aid of the frequency of the received sound pulse, and the transmission of the subsequent sound pulse by the transmitter is triggered with this delay.
