Abstract:
A loop detection unit including a first contact portion in contact with a back surface of the recording material. A residual sheet detection unit including a second contact portion that is configured to come into contact with the back surface of the recording material. The first contact portion and the second contact portion are configured to rotate on the same rotation shaft. The second contact portion is configured to come into contact with the back surface of the recording material on a downstream of the first contact portion in the conveyance direction of the recording material.
Abstract:
A surface treatment apparatus include film; a heating device for heating an object through the film; a film driving device for driving the film such that the film is unwound out of the supply shaft and wound up on the winding-up shaft and such that the film is unwound out of the winding-up shaft and is wound up on the supply shaft; a moving device for moving the film widthwisely before the object is contacted to the film; and a controller for controlling, when objects having width smaller than 1/2 of width of film are heated continuously, the film driving device and the moving device to effect the winding up of film on the supply shaft and to effect movement of film widthwisely by the moving device so that the objects are contacted to lengthwisely the same and widthwisely different areas of the film, while heating the objects.
Abstract:
A glossing apparatus for glossing at least part of a toner image on a recording material includes a film, a supply roller on which the film is wound, a wind-up roller configured to wind-up the film, and a driving device configured to drive the wind-up roller to rotate. In addition, a heating device heats at least part of the toner image on the recording material through the film at a heating position between the supply roller and the wind-up roller in a heating operation, a reversing device reverses the film to the supply roller to use an unused area of the film not having been contacted to the recording material during the heating operation, and a conveying device conveys the recording material toward the heating position so that the toner image on the recording material is heated using the unused area of the film.
Abstract:
When a job that is set so as to execute binding processing at a first binding position is being executed and this job is then interrupted, a request for changing a position of the binding processing from the first binding position to a second binding position is accepted in a state where the job is interrupted. It is determined whether or not an orientation of a print target image is to be changed in order to change the position of the binding processing from the first binding position to the second binding position in accordance with the accepted request. In a case where it is determined that the orientation of the print target image is to be changed, control is performed so as not to execute the binding processing.
Abstract:
A copy machine 1 is provided with: a main body device includes a main body ejection portion that ejects a target material on which an image is formed; and a post-processing device that performs predetermined post-processing on the target material that is fed to a post-processing unit inlet. The post-processing device is provided with a transformation unit that transforms a voltage of power supplied from a main power supply unit inside the main body device to a voltage required for driving of the post-processing device.
Abstract:
A printer is disclosed which automatically unifies the layout of output to each of mail bins. This printer sets the layout for each of the discharged paper trays (mail bins). The information of layout designated by a personal computer is invalidated when the layout has been set for the mail bins designated by an external personal computer. By storing in a memory the image data edited in the layout to be produced when the supply of papers has run out, the printer permits effective use of the memory and a reduction in the time of output.

Abstract:
A medium transporting apparatus includes a first transporting section and first guide. The first transporting section transports a medium. The first guide guides the medium transported by the transporting section, and is disposed downstream of the first transporting section with respect to a first direction in which the medium is transported. The first guide includes a first guide portion and a second guide portion. The first guide portion extends in the first direction. The second guide portion extends in a second direction substantially perpendicular to the first direction.
Abstract:
An image forming apparatus includes an ejection stacking section, a cooling target unit, and a cooling fan. The cooling target unit is disposed below the ejection stacking section. The cooling fan sends air to flow between the cooling target unit and the ejection stacking section. The ejection stacking section includes an opening, a movable member, and a biasing member. The movable member is movable between a closed position and an open position. The biasing member biases the movable member toward the closed position. In response to that the recording mediums are stacked on the ejection stacking section, the movable member moves toward the open position against a biasing force of the biasing member to allow the air sent from the cooling fan to flow through the opening so as to cool a lower surface of the recording mediums stacked on the ejection stacking section.
Abstract:
A discharge guide of an image forming apparatus. The discharge guide includes: a guide body disposed between a fixing unit and a discharging unit of the image forming apparatus; and a guide member disposed on the guide body. The guide member includes a guide edge, which forms different amounts of gap with a central portion end portions of a heating roller of the fixing unit.
