    摘要: The timepiece includes sunrise and sunset indicating means taking account of seasonal variations, said means include a sphere reproducing the terrestrial globe, a shell arranged concentrically to the sphere and arranged to demarcate one portion of the terrestrial globe where it is night from another portion where it is day by indicating the position of the earth's terminator. The sphere is arranged to be driven by the movement so as to rotate at the rate of one revolution per 24 hours about a first axis of rotation oriented parallel to the plane of the dial, and the shell is mounted to pivot about a second axis perpendicular to the plane of the dial. The sunrise and sunset indicating means also include an annual cam arranged to be driven in rotation by the movement at the rate of one revolution per year, the cam having a profile representative of the tilt of the sun relative to the equatorial plane.

    摘要: A mechanism for indication of the lunar phases, in particular for a mechanical watch, including a moon disk and a dial having a substantially semi-circular aperture. The moon disk is rotated in such a way as to display the indications inscribed on the moon disk through the aperture in order to indicate the lunar phases. In addition, the mechanism comprises at least one first occultation disk housed rotatably, at least in part, between the moon disk and the dial, and a gear train which drives the at least first occultation disk in such a way that the indications inscribed on the moon disk are obscured, at least in part, during specific phases of operation of the mechanism in such a manner that the indications appearing through the aperture correspond substantially to the natural appearance of the moon during the entire lunation. The invention also relates to a watch piece comprising such an indication mechanism.

    摘要: Disclosed is a timepiece from which a sunrise and sunset time along with the position of the sun can be determined. The sunrise time and the sunset time are changed according to the season and the latitude of the place where one man the time. People acquire the sunrise and sunset time from the news of a television or a newspaper. According to the enlargement of cities, underground activities and the degree of building closure are increased to shield the sun. The timepiece of the present invention comprises a circular hour plate which rotates once per 24 hours. Also included is a sunrise and sunset time designating section (21) for indicating the sunrise time and the sunset time for each month. Through the timepiece of the present invention, the present time, the position of the sun at the present time, the sunrise and sunset time can be appreciated. In particular, the external state of the day or night can be easily distinguished by the people in the underground and in a closed building, through using the timepiece of the present invention.

The processor also stores the location of a plurality of predetermined geographical sites, and a conversion facility for converting Greenwich Mean Timepiece to current local time. A control assembly, which in one embodiment comprises a keypad assembly, is structured to input general information and selectively access one or more categories of the astronomical information stored in the processor which is used to determine and display a desired astrological forecast.

    摘要: An astronomical time clock has a clock face divided into twelve segments representing the months of the year and a centrally positioned light which represents the sun. A globe representing the Earth rotates by a drive means around the light and is positioned in the segment representing the current month. The time of the day may be displayed by conventional clock hands or a digital display which is made clearly visible only in the segment corresponding to the current month. In a preferred embodiment, the globe rotates on its axis representing night and day and may be provided with tilt representing the seasons of the year.

    摘要: A sunlit world globe provides a realistic and constantly accurate day/night pattern on the surface of the globe. The globe employs an internal, rotating baffle for a light source. The baffle rotates with respect to a semi-transparent shell constituting a planetary model. The shell has an aperture at the bottom so that a motor, fixed to a frame can rotate the baffle through an axle. The shell pivots about a horizontal axis .+-.23.5 degrees to simulate the earth's orbit around the sun. An adjustment mechanism positions the polar axis of the earth with respect to an imaginary, ecliptic plane appropriately for the current time of year. In an alternate embodiment, the globe rotates with respect to the frame. The frame carries an arch having a day/night demarcation.
