摘要:
According to a rate adjusting method, the movement of a mechanical timepiece is first assembled. The assembled movement is then disposed in a vertical position, and the rate is measured with respect to a plurality of vertical positions. On the basis of the result of this rate measurement, the magnitude and direction of the positional difference vector are calculated. On the basis of the result of this calculaton, the amount of weight to be added to or subtracted from the annular balance of the movement is calculated and the positions on the annular balance where this amount of weight is to be added to or to be subtracted from is calculated. Based on the results of these calculations, the amount of weight is added to or subtracted from the annular balance at the calculated positions.
摘要:
An isochronal correction system for mechanical clock movements, such as automobile clocks, enabling clockworks which have been isochronally balanced within acceptable limits to perform satisfactorily in a predetermined gravitational position, such as vertically to meet the most general or usual service mounting of the clock, nevertheless providing for utilization where for some reason, such as variation of position or accessibility of the usual clock-setting stem, the clockworks must be mounted in a different position in which it has been rotated beyond the plus or minus degrees of variation permitted by the standard, i.e., vertical, orientation accommodating the original isochronal correction. To this end, means in the form of a weight relationship on the balance wheel are provided to compensate for the deviation from the standard balancing relationship. Thereby performance characteristics substantially equivalent to the standardized isochronal correction are maintained without requiring special construction, rebalancing, or adjustment of the various parts of the clockwork assembly.

A flange is provided on the rim of a balance so that the preliminary frequency regulation may be attained by cutting said flange, with a balance spring mounted on the balance. At least three markings are provided on the peripheral surface of the rim so that a true frequency may be detected without being influenced by an amplitude change.

A method adjusting oscillation frequency of a sprung balance assembly formed at random from balance springs and balance wheels. A production mechanism is set to limit a sample standard deviation of a single batch of balance springs to a predetermined maximum value, and to limit a sample standard deviation of a single batch of balance wheels to a predetermined maximum value within a given unbalance tolerance. The mean of the balance population is classified according to the mean of the balance springs, to obtain a difference corresponding to a maximum inertia decrease value of the balances, between extreme gaussian distribution values of balances and of balance springs. A random balance spring sample is taken from the single batch of balance springs and a random balance from among the single batch of balances. The inertia of the balance is adjusted according to a torque value of the balance spring sample.
