    摘要: An electronic apparatus is offered which has a function of detecting the position of a driven member with high reliability while achieving power saving. The apparatus comprises an electric motor an object that is a member driven by the motor, a gear reducer for transmitting the power of the motor to the object, an optical sensor for detecting the rotational position of the gear reducer and indirectly detecting the rotational position of the object, and an optical sensor control circuit for varying the state of drive of the optical sensor according to the circumstance of operation of the object, i.e., the rotational speed of the motor. The optical sensor is intermittently driven by the optical sensor control circuit. The frequency of the intermittent drive and the duty ratio are varied according to the rotational speed of the motor.

    摘要: A smart camera system provides focused images to an operator at a host computer by processing digital images at the imaging location prior to sending them to the host computer. The smart camera has a resident digital signal processor for preprocessing digital images prior to transmitting the images to the host. The preprocessing includes image feature extraction and filtering, convolution and deconvolution methods, correction of parallax and perspective image error and image compression. Compression of the digital images in the smart camera at the imaging location permits the transmission of very high resolution color or high resolution grayscale images at real-time frame rates such as 30 frames per second over a high speed serial bus to a host computer or to any other node on the network, including any remote address on the Internet.

    摘要: A control system comprises a reset unit for outputting a reset output by the manipulation of a manually operable member, a first microcomputer adapted to be reset by the reset output, a second microcomputer, and a controller for deactivating the second microcomputer. The controller deactivates the second microcomputer in accordance with the outputs of the first microcomputer and the second microcomputer. When there is no output from the second microcomputer, the controller deactivates the second microcomputer in response to the output of the first microcomputer determining no response from the second microcomputer.

The control box can be configured to communicate over a network with at least one external device. The control box, the tool(s), and the at least one external device can define a network of physical objects so as to be an application of the Internet of Things.

    摘要: Embodiments of the present invention provide improved accuracy of displacement control by using a multi-segment transformation of an actuator's non-linear response. The present invention may set intermediate points to effectively divide the actuator response into multiple segments. Each segment may be assigned a transform function that represents the actuator's response in that particular segment. The present invention may operate in two modes, a calibration mode and a normal operations mode. During calibration mode, the intermediate points and the segment transforms may be set. During normal operations mode, a drive signal may be generated according to the calibrated set values.
