    摘要: Methods, systems, and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on a computer storage medium, for file transmission. In one aspect, a system includes at least one machine control system, having access to a first data storage; at least one service computer, having access to a second data storage; and a central computer having at least one virtual machine. The machine control system is connectable to the virtual machine via a first communication connection in a manner that files between the first data storage and a data storage, to which the virtual machine has access, are transmissible. The service computer is connectable to the virtual machine via a second communication connection, in a manner that the virtual machine can access the second data storage and can store there files of a transmission via the first communication connection or can read files for a transmission via the first communication connection.

    摘要: A localhost computer is network connectable with a website-hosting server, and is for use with an appliance. The localhost computer includes a localhost processor assembly and a non-transitory processor-readable localhost memory tangibly embodying a browser-assigned storage section, a browser application, and a control program. The browser application is configured to urge the localhost processor assembly to (A) access the browser data, and (B) not access contents of a remainder of the non-transitory processor-readable localhost memory beyond the browser data. The control program is configured to urge the localhost processor assembly to: (A) access the browser data stored in the browser-assigned storage section, and (B) control the appliance, in which a type of control to be imposed upon the appliance depends on the contents of the browser data that was accessed.

    摘要: Content is generated on a host system based on real-time data from a controlled process collected over the internet from a customer's client automation system, such as a machine tool control system. The client system may request content from a host website. Instructions associated with the requested content, which may be in the form of software to be run on the client, is delivered to the client via download over the internet. The client, executing the software, captures real-time data associated with a controlled process and transmits it to the host, where content based on the data can be generated for the client and/or its owner. Data gathered by the host, and content generated on the basis of the data, may be made accessible to machine tool manufacturers. Also, data received by the host is associated with an identifier defined for each client system. A historical database for given client equipment can thereby be created.

    摘要: The present invention is directed to a method of reprogramming a field device in a process control network using the standard communications protocol for the network, and a reprogrammable field device in the process control network adapted for being reprogrammed using the standard communications protocol for the network. The method and device of the present invention use the standard communications protocol to transmit the downloaded code to the field device and store the downloaded code in the field device while the device is enabled to perform process control. Once the new code is downloaded and stored in the field device, the field device is set to a steady state condition and/or disabled from performing process control, reprogrammed to execute the downloaded code, and reenabled to perform process control.
