摘要: An in-memory database system stores the entirety of a database that is being operated on by a database system within main memory. The database includes a table that comprises a plurality of rows including a particular row. The database table comprises a first version of the particular row having a first valid time, and a second version having a second valid time. Index(es) are associated with the database table. Each index references the plurality of rows, including referencing the first and second versions of the particular row. A transaction acting on the first version of the particular row is executed. The first version of the particular row is visible to the transaction based on the first valid time and the second version of the particular row being not visible to the transaction based on the second valid time.

摘要: Computer-implemented techniques for automatically coordinating application schema changes in a distributed data storage system. The techniques improve the operation of a computing system by automating the deployment of application schemas changes to a distributed data storage system in a manner that does not introduce orphaned data inconsistencies or integrity inconsistencies to the application data stored in the distributed data storage system. The techniques include a schema change deployment protocol that ensures that all of the database servers of the distributed data storage system are using no more than two consecutive versions of the application schema at any given time.

摘要: Systems and methods for providing full data provenance visualization for versioned datasets. A method includes receiving selection of a versioned dataset that is within a data pipeline system. The method also includes determining the full data provenance of the selected versioned dataset. The full data provenance may comprise a set of versioned datasets. The method further includes providing for display of a visualization of the full data provenance of the selected versioned dataset. The visualization comprises a graph. The graph comprises a compound node for the selected versioned dataset and for each versioned dataset in the set of versioned datasets. The graph further comprises edges connecting the compounds nodes. Each edge represents a derivation dependency between versions of the versioned datasets represented by the compound nodes connected by the edge.

摘要: Information from source databases is retrieved and stored on a database storage system. Multiple point-in-time copies are obtained for each database. A source database may contain partitions comprising sets of database tables. A partition is imported into a virtual database created. The database storage system validates the partition before importing, by checking whether the partition includes database tables that refer to database tables outside the partition. A partition imported in a virtual database may be rewinded to an older state or refreshed to a more recent state. Multiple partitions may be included in a virtual database and the state of each partition modified independent of the state of the remaining virtual database including the other partitions. Multiple versions of the same partition corresponding to different points in time are incorporated in the same virtual database, thereby allowing a query to process different versions of the same database table.

摘要: A multi-user search system with methodology for personalized search query autocomplete. In one embodiment, for example, a method for personalized search query autocomplete includes receiving, from an end-user computing device of an authenticated user, a completion search query including a completion token; determining an identifier of an authorized document namespace the authenticated user is permitted to access; generating an index key including the authorized document namespace identifier as a prefix and the completion token as a suffix; accessing an index dictionary with the index key to identify and iterate over a plurality of prefixed index tokens until a stop condition is reached, each of the plurality of prefixed index tokens including the authorized document namespace identifier as a prefix and the each index token as a suffix, the completion token being a prefix of or matching the each index token; and for each prefixed index token of the plurality of prefixed index tokens, determining whether any documents identified in a postings list associated with the each prefixed index token satisfies the completion query, and returning filenames of any such documents satisfying the completion query in an answer to the completion query.

摘要: An apparatus and a computer-implemented method for processing data are disclosed. The apparatus comprises a memory device that stores first history data, and at least one processor configured to modify a first portion of the first history data, transmit first information to a recipient device reflecting the modification to the first portion of the first history data, determine that the recipient device has modified a second portion of the second history data associated with the first portion based on the first information, receive input data, and responsive to the confirmation, transmit one or more reference tokens reflecting a relationship between the modified first history data and one or more portions of the input data, wherein the one or more first reference tokens allows the recipient device to reconstruct the one or more portions of the input data from the modified second portion of the second history data.

摘要: A computer-implemented method for reusing deleted database records includes, receiving, by a database manager executing within a computing device, a first query request to insert, into a database table, a first set of database records. The database manager identifies a first set of entries within a journal log bundle. The database manager also determines, in response to identifying a first set of entries, that there is a third set of deleted database records located on a same page as a second set of database records. The database manager also, in response to determining that there is a third set of deleted database records located on a same page as the second set of database records, inserts into the database table the first set of database records using the third set of deleted database records.
