In the security system of the present disclosure, when any of the devices are locked, unlocked, interacted with, alarmed or triggered, a notification or communication signal is sent to at least one other device. Additionally, a system is provided including at least one alarm module that generates an audible sound when an alarm condition is detected; at least one sensor that detects the audible sound and determines if the audible sound is within a predetermined frequency range and an interface that receives at least one first communication signal from the at least one sensor upon detecting an alarm and transmits at least one second communication signal to at least one device.

If the reader receiver does not receive an appropriate reply from the tag transmitter after the reader transmitter sends a query to the tag receiver, or if the reader was deactivated, the reader transmitter sends an alarm signal to the alarm unit. Upon the alarm receiver's receipt of the alarm signal, the alarm is energized. If using multiple active RFID tags, the CPU checks for each through tag transmission identifiers, and the alarm identifies the missing tag through unique alarm signals.

In an implementation an interrogator held near a person interrogates multiple transponders and receives information separately from the transponders. The interrogator and/or the transponders may be held in an article of clothing or in a personal effect of the person. The transponders may transmit identifying information and/or information associated with the states of the articles of clothing or personal effects of the person. Such a system enables the clothes worn by a person to communicate with a plurality of items and obtain useful information. In addition, a network system may be configured so that any particular transponder may communicate with another transponder or group of transponders of other locales to activate functions, cause actions or otherwise share data and/or information.
