Abstract:
A disk storage system for disks having a central opening includes a set of hingedly connectable disk trays, a pair of axle members for attachment to one of the trays on an axle axis thereof, and a storage container having hinge pedestals for engagement by the axle members. Hinged connections between adjacent trays is by tabs that are pivotable on respective hinge axes of the different trays, the tabs being engagable with respective tab cavities of adjacent trays.
Abstract:
The present invention discloses a connecting clasp and a multi-disc optical disc cartridge using the connecting clasp for connection. The connecting clasp comprises two half bodies rotationally connecting with each other, wherein one half body can rotate around the other one at a degree from 0° to 180°. The multi-disc optical disc cartridge comprises multiple transparent disc sheets for accommodating optical discs. When the connecting clasp is used for connecting the multiple disc sheets, the two half bodies are inserted into the corresponding mounting sites of the adjacent disc sheets respectively so as to rotationally connect the disc sheets. Therefore, the adjacent disc sheets can rotate relative to each other at a degree from 0° to 180°, or even be displayed in the manner of turning pages at a degree from 0° to 360° when multiple disc sheets are connected together.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a disc holder for storing a plurality of discs comprising: a base; a spindle extending vertically from the base, where the spindle enables the stacking of the plurality of discs; a top cover, where the top cover locks to the base by using two sliding clasps, where one clasp is one side of the top cover and the other clasp is on the opposite side. The base may include three prongs extending vertically from three respective sides of the base in order to keep discs aligned. The enclosure may further include a receptacle for the top of the spindle and a swivel handle for carrying the unit. The plurality of discs may include compact discs and DVDs or a combination of both.
Abstract:
This invention relates to a container and, more particularly, a container for securely housing goods in a retail outlet. The invention also relates to such a container in combination with an actuating device insertable therein.
Abstract:
A disc holder has a vacuum-formed thin tray secured to a paperboard base and cover. Ledges are formed at bottoms of paired opposite inner segmental walls. First paired opposite ledges are horizontal. Second paired opposite ledges slope upward toward the tray center. A first rosette is positioned on a tray base. A flap formed in the base is hinged along its end and extends toward the first rosette. A second rosette is positioned on the flap. Disc retainers extend inward from the segmental walls.
Abstract:
A disc storage container for holding multiple discs comprising, a front container cover, a back container cover, and a spine, and attachment means on the spine, the front container cover and back container cover being moveable between a container open position enabling access to the contents of the container and a container closed position for storage purposes. A multi-tray assembly for retaining a plurality of discs within the container, the multi-tray assembly comprising two connectors and two trays for retaining and holding discs, each connector comprising a container-engaging member for engaging to the attachment means on the spine of the container and two holding means for rotatably holding a respective tray, so that each tray can be rotated about the holding means of the connectors to allow access to the discs retained by the trays when the container is in a container open position.
Abstract:
A container for storing data storage media in accordance with an embodiment of the present application includes a front cover, a rear cover and a plurality of removable trays operable to support data storage media, wherein each removable tray is rotatably connected to at least one other removable tray, and the plurality of removable trays is rotatably connected to at least one of the front cover and the rear cover such that the data storage media stored on the plurality of removable trays is accessible based on rotation of at least one removable tray.
Abstract:
An enclosure for securing a disc having a central aperture includes a base and a pivotable cover. A two part disc securing rosette has a first part on the base including at least two upstanding, circularly spaced apart segments with arcuate outer peripheral surfaces dimensioned for engaging the central aperture of a disc and a second part including at least two elongate, upstanding ribs extending radially from a position on the cover which is centered on the segments on the base, the number of ribs on the cover corresponding to the number of segments on the base, the ribs being positioned and dimensioned such that, when the enclosure is closed, the ribs on the cover enter the first part radially inwardly of the segments with the ribs contacting the radially inside surface of the corresponding arcuate segments for bracing the arcuate segments against breakage.
Abstract:
In a method for manufacturing a package for holding multiple media discs, comprising, a plurality of media disc trays is provided, each tray having a side hinging surface. The trays are arranged into a stack, such that their respective side hinging surfaces line up with each other to form a composite hinging surface. A label is positioned over the composite hinging surface. The label is affixed to the composite hinging surface, such that the label provides a hinge between each tray in the stack and at least one adjacent tray.
Abstract:
A locking device and method for a storage container provide benefit denial. The locking device includes a base part and a cover part configured to lock to the base part. The cover part is configured to prevent a disk from being removed from a disk-retaining hub when the cover part is locked to the base part, and the base part is configured for easy and secure connection to the storage container. The base part includes a stop for engaging the exterior of the case when inserted into a receptacle in the bottom wall of the container, which precludes the base part from being pulled through the bottom wall of the storage container When the cover part is locked to the base part, the base part cannot be separated from the storage container without causing damage to the media disk.
