摘要: An electrical switching apparatus assembly is for a switchgear system. The switchgear system includes a number of circuit stabs and an enclosure having a number of compartments. The electrical switching apparatus assembly includes an electrical switching apparatus having a number of terminals and a mounting assembly, the terminals being structured to be mechanically coupled and electrically connected to the circuit stabs, the mounting assembly comprising a mounting member coupled to the terminals; and a maintaining assembly comprising a plate member and a maintaining member, the plate member being coupled to the mounting member, the maintaining member being coupled to the plate member and structured to engage the enclosure. Responsive to an arc fault event, the maintaining assembly is structured to move between FIRST and SECOND positions. When the maintaining assembly moves from the FIRST position to the SECOND position, the plate member moves away from the terminals.

摘要: A device for detecting and locating at least one electric discharge in equipment insulated by fluid contained in an electrically-conductive housing. The equipment includes a plurality of grounding lines connected between the housing and ground. The device includes a plurality of Rogowski coil type current detectors and a mechanism synchronously comparing signals delivered by the current detectors. The coil of each detector is placed around a respective one of the lines. Each detector delivers a signal representative of current flowing in the line, with occurrence of an electric discharge giving rise to a sudden variation in the current, and with electric discharge being located within an inside zone of the housing situated in proximity of the line that is surrounded by the detector that was first to deliver the sudden variation of current.

摘要: Capacitors (5a, 5b) are provided in the insulators of bushings (4a, 4b), respectively. One ends of the capacitors (5a, 5b) are connected to central conductors (3a, 3b) side, and the other ends are connected to a tank (1) side at the ground potential. When a discharge signal from the outside of the tank (1) reaches the capacitors (5a, 5b) through the central conductors (3a, 3b), the capacitors (5a, 5b) work as a filter to attenuate and prevent the signal in the frequency band of the discharge waveform from propagating to the inside of the tank (1). When an antenna (7) placed in the tank (1) receives a signal in the frequency band of the discharge waveform, a discharge detection unit (20) determines that a discharge inside the tank has been detected.

摘要: According to an embodiment of the present disclosure, there is provided a preventive diagnostic system for a GIS that includes a plurality of data acquisition systems (DAS's), a central communication unit (CCU), and a local server. The DAS generates an ICD file representing a content of the configuration of the DAS using a logical node designed for the preventive diagnostic system for a GIS and delivers the ICD file to the CCU, and the CCU performs a network connection so as to communicate with the DAS in compliance with IEC 61850 based on a content of the ICD file delivered from the DAS. According to the embodiment of the present disclosure, by applying IEC 61850 to the preventive diagnostic system for a GIS, smooth integration with a substation automation system and an efficient operation can be achieved.

摘要: An apparatus (10) for detecting the occurrence of partial discharge in electrical equipment, such as high voltage transformers. The apparatus comprises a detecting means including an ultrasonic transducer (11) mounted at one end of an electrically insulating elongate rod (13). The ultrasonic transducer (11) is adapted to detect ultrasonic pulses or waves generated by the occurrence of a partial discharge in the electrical equipment. A radio frequency (RF) transducer (17) is also utilized to detect radio frequency (RF) pulses or waves also generated by the partial discharge. The rod (13) can be mounted in the wall of the electrical equipment and so provide a mechanism for adjusting the position of the detecting means within the electrical equipment. The apparatus is also removable from the electrical equipment and re-locatable to other equipment.

摘要: The method relates to discriminating between an internal arc and a circuit-breaking arc established in the enclosure of a circuit breaker in a bay of a medium or high voltage metal-clad substation. The appearance of an internal arc is detected by a protection system which responds by transmitting a disengagement order to the circuit breaker, thereby causing a circuit-breaking arc to appear. The pressure of the dielectric gas inside the enclosure of the circuit breaker, is continuously measured and recorded so that after the instant at which the disengagement order is transmitted, it is possible to recover a first pressure value measured before the instant. The first pressure value is then compared with a second pressure value measured after the said instant in order to identify whether the internal arc was struck in the circuit breaker enclosure.
