    摘要: A cathode ray tube is constructed such that a resistance of a first conductive element connected to a metal film on the inner side of the panel is lower than a resistance of a second conductive element connected to a shadow mask. Thus, the amount of electrons which are emitted from an electron gun to strike the metal film increases, to thereby enhance luminance, and the amount of electrons striking the shadow mask is decreased, to thereby reduce thermal deformation of the shadow mask.

    摘要: The present invention provides a method of making a tensioned focus mask. Such a mask includes a set of parallel strands and a set of parallel wires that are perpendicular to the strands and separated from the strands by insulator means. The method includes attaching the strands to a mask frame and then coating the strands with a first insulator. The first insulator is then cured, and a second insulator is applied to the first insulator. Next, wires are wound over and in contact with the second insulator, by rotating the mask frame and by drawing a continuous wire from a source through a tensioner, while guiding the continuous wire into desired positions overlying the strands. Finally, the second insulator is heated until the wires attach to the second insulator.

    摘要: A CRT has an Einzel lens focus mask with a high voltage between the shadow mask and the meshes to achieve a strong focusing action and therefore minimize beam current interception by the shadow mask. The mask is supported by an insulating block inside a tube. During gettering, the getter material does not deposit on the inside of the tube and therefore spurious conduction paths are avoided. Thus the support can withstand the high voltage. A lead-in wire for the mask has a tube surrounding it which is open near the mask. This also withstands the high voltage.
