    Abstract: A sealing system and method for a mirror assembly of a vehicle is provided. The mirror assembly includes a wire harness assembly in which at least a first wire harness and a second wire harness are coupled together. The first wire harness is protected within a rigid encasing but for an exposed portion. The exposed portion permits freer movement of the internal pins in that area, which promotes a better fit with the adjacent second wire harness. In one example, a foam sheath can used to cover a portion of the wire harness assembly, which is then routed through a gasket. This arrangement is configured to prevent air leaks that might otherwise occur due to gapping between the first wire harness and the second wire harness.

    Abstract: A cable gland (10) comprises a body (12) defining a passage (14), a sealing arrangement (24) and a cable gripping member (74). The passage (14) is configured to receive a cable (16) having a surface (18). The sealing arrangement (24) and the cable gripping member (74) are locatable in the passage (14). The sealing arrangement (24) comprises a seal (26), a seal deforming member (28) and a link (30). The seal (26) comprises an inner surface (32) and an outer surface (34) and defines an opening (36) for receiving the cable (16) and a further opening (38) between the inner surface (32) and the outer surface (34). The seal (26) seals against the sealing surface (20) as well as against the surface (18). The cable gripping member (74), the seal deforming member (28) and the link (30) form an electrically conductive train between a steel wire armour layer (96) of the cable (16) and a conductive part (64) of the cable gland (10).

    Abstract: A latch comprises a body having a forward end, a rearward end and a longitudinal axis, configured to be inserted into an aperture by its forward end in a first direction parallel to the longitudinal axis. The body comprises an inner part, and an annular outer housing surrounding at least part of the inner part and rotatable around the inner part. Latch fingers are moveably attached to the outer housing, each latch finger moveable between a closed and an open position, such that in the open position a latch finger prevents removal of the body from the aperture in the direction opposite to the first direction. A guide may be attached to the body and configured to bias the rotation of the outer housing, when the body is inserted into an aperture, to a predetermined rotational position, thereby also locating the latch fingers in a the predetermined rotational position.
