    Abstract: Discussed is an energy storage system connected with a power grid, and including a photovoltaic (PV) system; a power conversion system to be connected with the power grid and selectively connected to the photovoltaic system; a first switch to selectively connect the photovoltaic system and a direct current (DC) link of the power conversion system; a first ground fault detector including a terminal connected to a ground; a second switch selectively to connect the photovoltaic system and another terminal of the first ground fault detector; and a switch controller to change a ground structure of at least one of the photovoltaic system, the power conversion system, and a battery system included in the energy storage system and to selectively connect the photovoltaic system and the DC link, by controlling the first switch and the second switch based on a power generation state of the photovoltaic system.

    Abstract: An outdoor speaker system including a housing configured to accommodate a speaker unit, a top panel, a bottom panel, a front panel, and at least one side panel. The housing is encased by the top, bottom, front, and at least one side panel. The outdoor speaker system further includes a computing device and a plurality of solar panels that provide power to the outdoor speaker system and/or any external device. The computing device includes control buttons to control and interface with the speaker unit. The plurality of solar panels includes a top solar panel configured to couple to the top panel and a continuous solar panel configured to couple to at least two sides of the housing. The continuous solar panel receives solar energy from the sun regardless of what direction the outdoor speaker system is facing such that the outdoor speaker system is provided with sufficient power.

    Abstract: A solar charging system includes a first battery, a second battery, and processing circuitry. The processing circuitry charges the second battery by supplying electric power from the first battery to the second battery when a state of charge of the first battery is greater than or equal to a prescribed upper limit value, and charges the first battery by stopping supply of electric power from the first battery to the second battery when the state of charge of the first battery is less than or equal to a prescribed lower limit value. A range from the upper limit value to the lower limit value is a range of use of the first battery. The processing circuitry changes the range of use such that the range of use is wider when a degree of degradation of the first battery is high than when the degree of degradation is low.

    Abstract: Various embodiments relate to protection circuits. A protection circuit may include a first node for coupling to a first battery and a second node for coupling to a second battery. The protection circuit may also include a first path coupled between the second node and the first node and including a diode. The protection circuit may also include a second path coupled between the first node and the second node. The second path may include a first stage coupled to the first node and including a first number of thermistors coupled in parallel. The second path may also include a second stage coupled between the first stage and the second node and including a second number of thermistors coupled in parallel, wherein the first stage may be coupled in series with the second stage. Associated methods, systems, and devices are also disclosed.
