摘要： A woven sleeve is used for bundling elongated substrates. The illustrative embodiment is interwoven of monofilament warp members and fill yarns comprised of compliant material such as bulky multifilament yarn. Supplement monofilaments extending lengthwise of the fabric are separated into individual pieces, each including a section cradled in the compliant material of a fill yarn and are locked in the cradle position by at least one of the warp members. End sections of the individual pieces project outwardly and terminate in hooks which interlock with an exposed section of the compliant material to effect closure of the sleeve around the elongated substrates. A sleeve of the type described may also be provide with integral hooks to attach the sleeve to loop-type other loop material on a support surface.

摘要： The invention is a one piece glove used as a sports aid to decrease slippage during grip, that is comprised of an elastomeric fabric component which fits precisely incorporating all the fingers of the hand; the wrist; and the thumb. The elastomeric fabric component is completely flexible not containing any rigid positional elements for the wrist or fingers. The palmar side of all the finger sleeves of the glove, as well as the palm of the glove have attached a silicone of prosthetic quality which is fused to the elastomeric fabric in such a fashion that all the external aspects of the finger sleeves facing the sports apparatus such as, but not limited to, a bowling ball, as well as the internal aspects facing the fingers are fused with the silicone. The surface of the palm of the glove is comprised of silicone and elastomeric fabric fused on the external aspect that contacts the bowling ball, and the internal aspect that contacts the palm itself. This construction of silicone fusion to elastomeric fabric greatly increases the ability of the bowler to grip the ball with less force because slippage is reduced. The adherence to the ball of the silicone plus its shock absorbing effect relative to the fingers allows greater "lift" and increased revolutions of the bowling ball upon ball release from the hand thus imparting greater energy applied to the pins upon impact.

摘要： A hand covering that uses three temporarily securable flaps on its back portion to provide for the extremely easy ingress and egress of a hand while allowing the invention to remain positioned securely upon the wrist throughout, the hand covering having palm, back, and finger portions in the general manner of a standard mitten or glove, the back portion having a first and second flap opposite one another to grip the user's wrist, and a third flap, which normally covers an exit hole for the hand, located opposite the more fingerward end of the second flap, and connecting to the second flap; when the user desires to extract his or her hand from the glove, he or she need only perform a metacarpel flexion motion with the hand and pull upon the finger portion, causing the second and third flaps to unfasten, and creating an automatic point of egress for the hand, the first flap, not affected by the action in the knuckle region, remaining securely fastened to the lower, wristward portion of the third flap, and therefore providing a consistent grip upon the wrist throughout the process of egress; manner of ingress being simply the reverse.

摘要： A sports glove for a bowler includes a glove body having partial digit sleeves for the third and fourth digits and a flexible cover attached directly to each of the digit sleeves for the third and fourth digits so as to create an enclosed pouch. Each pouch includes a cushioning pad disposed therein. The sports glove is modified so as to receive on a selective or optional basis a number of enhancement components which are intended to assist the bowler in the support, release and control of the bowling ball. These enhancements include foam wedges which are attached to the palm side to either increase or decrease the amount of hook on the bowling ball, a spacer strip to control the spacing of the third and fourth digits and a brace which also assists in controlling the amount of hook on the bowling ball. The cushioning pads which are enclosed within the pouches on the third and fourth digits assist in filling the gap between the hand and the bowling ball so as to provide better weight distribution and balance. These pads also cushion the joint of-the finger and protect the joint from impact. The cover which forms the pouch for the pads is a flexible and resilient material though relatively stiff which facilitates in reducing hyperextensions of the third and fourth digits. The pouch, cover and pad combination is applicable to other sports where hyperextended fingers are possible.

摘要： An athletic glove includes a back strap to compress and support the wrist and hand of the user. The glove comprises a central portion including a back side and a palm side which define a hand receiving pocket therebetween. A hand opening is formed in the central portion for inserting the user's hand into the pocket. A wrist cuff area encircles the user's wrist and borders the hand opening. A backhand support wraps around the user's hand to provide support for the backhand muscles. The backhand support includes a backhand strap having an intermediate portion and a free end portion. The backhand strap is secured to the central portion of the glove adjacent the finger stall for the user's index finger and extends diagonally backward across the back side of the glove towards the user's wrist. The strap encircles the underside of the user's wrist and then extends diagonally forward across the back side of the glove from the base of the finger stall for the user's thumb towards the finger stall for the user's little finger. The free end portion of the backhand strap intersects an intermediate portion of the backhand strap to which it is secured. A hold-down strap attached to the central portion of the glove adjacent the finger stall for the little finger secures the free end portion of the backhand strap. The glove may also include a wrist strap for encircling the user's wrist to provide support therefor and to secure the glove on the user's wrist.

In a further embodiment, the golf glove of the present invention also comprises relief zones, for enabling the golfer to comfortably wear any and all rings on the fingers of the user throughout the golf game, and indicia formed on the inside surface of the glove for assisting the golfer in attaining the proper grip of the golf club shaft.

摘要： A protective guard for the arm of a welder which includes both padding and insulation to cushion and protect the arm from heat in activities such as welding or similar tasks. The guard includes a pad and a flexible flap which is applied over the upper surface of the arm in order to more completely protect the arm above the area normally covered by the cuff of the standard welding glove. The guard may be easily applied by the use of elastic straps attached to the pad and the pad is sufficient length to extend past the elbow in order to prevent both the arm and elbow from coming into contact with heated objects, while the flexible flap is formed to allow complete bending of the arm without binding at the inside of the elbow. At least the outer portions of the guard are preferably formed of durable heat-resistant materials, such as leather.
