Abstract: A portable remote controlled fire-fighting valve has a central chamber in a main valve body, an inlet that connects to a hydrant, an outlet that connects to a fire hose, a valve mechanism that has a seating surface that seats against part of the device to open and close a flow channel through the central chamber, and a remote controller that enables an operator to selectively open and close the flow channel. The valve mechanism uses a piston that is mounted for axial movement within the central chamber. The piston has an annular wall that slides against an outer edge of a lateral chamber surface that is fixed in position within the main valve body. A spring biases the piston to the closed position. In the open position, water from the inlet flows around the piston, over its peripheral surface, to the outlet. A pressure chamber is formed between a lateral surface that is fixed in position within the valve body and a movable interior surface on the piston. A pilot channel extends from an upstream side of the flow channel to the pressure chamber. The remote controller selectively controls a pilot valve on the pilot channel, allowing liquid in the upstream side of the flow channel to flow to the pressure chamber and force the piston open.

Abstract: A fluid flow passage is available, between an inlet tube and an outlet tube, through a piston supported by a spring and equipped with an orifice connecting a pilot chamber and the outlet tube. A bellows chamber or a diaphragm chamber is provided with a pilot valve, which is directly connected with the bellows or the diaphragm, to open or close an orifice connecting the bellows chamber or the diaphragm chamber and a pilot chamber in which the piston is placed, in response to the pressure in the inlet tube monitored by the bellows or the diaphragm. The inlet tube and the outlet tube, together with the valve body, are formed by pressing or drawing at either end of a single tube which contains the valve means under the perfect airtight condition, to form a control valve to be employed for refrigerator and air conditioner.

Abstract: Bistable electric valve comprising a housing (2) in which there is defined a chamber (10) having first and second openings (11a, 12a) and a main ferromagnetic obturator (15) displaceable between first and second working positions in which it respectively closes and opens the first opening (11a) for enabling and disabling respectively a flow of fluid from the second opening (12a) to the first opening (11a). The main obturator (15) has a through-hole (17) for establishing communication between the upstream and downstream regions. First and second permanent magnets (13, 14; 31, 32) are mounted in the housing (2) in the vicinity of the first and second openings (11a, 12a) for keeping the main obturator (15) in the first and second working positions, respectively. An auxiliary obturator (22) is mounted moveable in between the main obturator (15) and said second opening (12a) between first and second positions in which it closes and opens the through-hole (17), respectively. A third permanent magnet (21) is integral with the auxiliary obturator (22) and a control solenoid (6) is arranged around the path of the main obturator (15) and the auxiliary obturator (21) and is designed to generate a magnetic flux tending to cause the attraction of the main obturator (15) and the auxiliary obturator (22) towards one or other of said first and second openings (11a, 12a).

Abstract: Internal valve apparatus are described. An example internal valve includes a body having a valve seat disposed in a fluid flow passageway between an inlet and an outlet. A flow control member is operatively coupled to the body and movable between a first position to engage the valve seat to restrict fluid flow through the valve and a second position to move away from the valve seat to allow fluid flow through the valve. A removable actuator is coupled to the body and operatively coupled to the flow control member to cause the flow control member to move between the first and second positions. A portion of the removable actuator is cantilevered in the fluid flow passageway between the inlet and the outlet when the removable actuator is coupled to the body.
