摘要: A proportioning dispenser of concentrated chemical mixed in a diluent such as water includes a water valve, an in-line water pressure regulator downstream of the valve and an eductor downstream of the regulator. When the valve is open, water flows to the regulator, and a pressure regulator water flow passes to the eductor. When the valve is closed, no water flows to the regulator, which sees pressurized water only when the water valve is open during a dispensing cycle. More accurate dilution ratios are achieved over a wide range of incoming water line pressures. In an alternate embodiment, a water valve and a regulator are formed in a common housing with the regulator operationally downstream of the valve.

摘要: The invention relates to a ventilation device for ventilating shower streams that is configured as an insert, and that may be utilized in a connection of a sanitary fitting, particularly in the connection of a shower head housing. The insert contains at least one water throughput channel connected to a ventilation channel such that air is suctioned in through the ventilation channel when a flow passes through the water throughput channel, ventilating the water stream. The insert may have a receptacle for a flow restrictor. A backflow preventer may be provided in order to prevent water leakage from the exterior end of the ventilation channel.

摘要: A device for putting in solution a powdery concentrate includes a liquid supply pipe (10), an extraction pipe (30) with a valve (31), and a transfer pipe (40) connected to a junction point, the transfer pipe being for connecting to a receptacle (50) containing the concentrate. The junction point is in the constriction of a venturi tube (20), the supply pipe (10) being connected to the convergent chamber (21), and the extraction pipe (30) to the divergent chamber (22). If the valve (31) is closed, the liquid leaves the venturi tube through the vacuum tapping to enter the receptacle. When the valve (31) is opened, the liquid leaves the venturi tube through the divergence chamber, causing a pressure drop in the vacuum tapping. The saturated liquid contained in the receptacle is then sucked and entrained by the liquid passing through the venturi.

摘要: A system and method are provided for failsafe storage and dispensing of a liquid material from a container having a storage compartment. A dispensing control unit coupled to the container includes a control valve portion operable to selectively direct a flow path of at least a portion of a pressurized fluid stream received thereby, and a response valve portion coupled to the neck portion. The response valve portion is reconfigurable between first and second states responsive to the pressurized fluid stream as directed thereto. The response valve portion in the first state seals an access opening of the container from the storage compartment, while in the second state maintains the access opening in communication with the storage compartment. The response valve portion is resiliently biased to its first state, whereby release of the liquid material therethrough is prevented in the absence of suitable fluid pressure actuation therefor. The response valve portion in certain embodiments includes a displaceable piston assembly, and in certain other embodiments a deflectable member, for selective reconfiguration between the first and second states responsive to the pressurized fluid stream.

摘要: An eductor for mixing two liquids wherein the eductor includes a closed or non-air gap back flow prevention member. The vacuum profile of the eductor is altered by changing an opening in a passage portion to controllably divert water flow around the venturi tube or diverting the water without the opening. This affords the changing of the vacuum profile without redesigning the entire eductor.

摘要: An eductor assembly includes an inlet connectable to a high pressure water source useful in firefighting, an outlet connectable to a fire hose and/or nozzle, and a venturi therebetween. An additive inlet communicates with the venturi so that a chemical additive, such as a foam concentrate, is educed into the output stream. A check valve is positioned at the additive inlet to open under venturi flow conditions and remain closed otherwise. An actuator is provided that holds the check valve in its open position while water flows through the eductor assembly under non-venturi conditions to produce a back flow through the additive inlet and ultimately through the additive fluid circuit, including the additive metering valve components. A return element may be disposed within the eductor body to return the check valve to its closed position when the back flow ceases.

摘要: An external fluid injector assembly comprises a housing with a main fluid passage running through the housing. The housing includes a port enabled to couple the housing with a fluid pump (e.g., hydraulic pump or pneumatic pump) to receive a pressurized fluid stream into the main fluid passage. On the opposite end of the housing is a coupling assembly which allows an operator to attach a variety of devices, such as a hose. An injector assembly is connected to the housing and is capable of providing an external fluid to the pressurized fluid stream in the main fluid passage.

摘要: An anti-backflow eductor has a resilient sealing sleeve disposed on a water port defining blind end tube. The sleeve has a thinner wall cross section at a discharge end to enhance sealing while facilitating increased water flow. The ports in the blind end tube extend into a radial tube flange at the tube's inlet end to facilitate water flow out of the ports between the sleeve and tube. A tapered seat in the housing, together with cross bars in the vents, reduces the air vent cross section and relative motion between sleeve and housing to reduce sleeve wear. The eductor comprises an anti-backflow housing and a venturi housing coupled together for relative rotation but being inseparable under normal conditions to inhibit venturi use without the anti-backflow function of the anti-backflow housing.
