    摘要: A variety of connectors can be used to connect cylindrical or other shaped tubes to one another. The connectors incorporate features that may facilitate connecting the tubes at a wide range of angles to form a variety of multi-dimensional shapes, while obviating the need to use tape or glue. Such features can potentially improve the aesthetics and simplify the assembly of objects produced using the connectors disclosed herein. Further, structures produced using the connectors disclosed herein can be disassembled, facilitating reuse of, e.g., the paper-based tubes of exhausted household products.

    摘要: An assembled structure with connectors is disclosed. The connector includes a first unit and a second unit. One side of the first unit extends to protrudingly form a plurality of protruding ribs that define a plurality of horizontal and vertical long connecting slots, and the first unit and second unit engage with each other. Also, a plurality of engaging slots are formed between the first unit and second unit, and the other side of the second unit has elongated slots. Thus, a board is connected with the connector at four corners of the board, and the first unit has long connecting slots that are used to circularly form a square frame. A backboard is connected with the engaging slot and the board to form a usable assembled structure.

    摘要: A new connecting node set that is unique and surprisingly effective at aligning interfacing holes in connecting nodes is illustrated by their application to radial tetrahedral structures. This method of connecting one node to another requires that a left handed node be connected to a right handed node. They are called left handed or right handed because their lines of interface in at least two directions of intended use are geometrically coincident with straight line rulings of a hyperboloid of revolution of one sheet which itself consists of two families of straight line rulings, designated a left handed and a right handed family respectively. With these nodes, magnets could be placed on the lines of interface (opposite placement in a left handed one from a right handed one) and thus the magnets would always attract or repel as preferred.

    摘要: The quickly erectable canopy shelters include a plurality of legs connected together by an extendible perimeter assembly of link members. The roof structure is formed by a pole members pivotally mounted to the upper ends of the legs so as to extend across the shelter, and movable between a lowered position and a raised, upwardly arching position. The pole members are pivotally coupled to a central hub, and each of the pole members is formed of pole sections hinged to permit downward folding and upward unfolding until they are fully extended. Corner support strut members are pivotally mounted to the extendible perimeter assembly of link members adjacent to the legs, to support the pole members. The outer ends of the pole members are pivotally connected to the upper ends of the legs by pivoting link members that pivot between a lowered position and a raised position extending above the legs when the shelter is extended. In the raised position the pivoting link members rotate outwardly to absorb downward forces exerted on the roof structure and transmitted outwardly by the pole members.
