摘要： An agricultural combine is provided that estimates a hydraulic pressure of a rotor drive system based upon the speeds of the pump (or engine) and motor that drive the rotor. The pressure is estimated by generating a pump displacement control signal in a convention feedback control algorithm and using that signal together with a sensed motor speed signal and a sensed pump speed (proportional to engine speed) to estimate the hydraulic pressure.

摘要： A height sensing shoe assembly for an implement such as a cotton harvester includes an arm pivotally connected at an upper end to the lower portion of a harvester row unit for rocking about an arm axis transverse to the forward direction. A shoe or ski elongated in the fore-and-aft direction is pivotally connected at a central location to the lower end of the arm for rocking about an axis parallel to the arm axis. The elongated pivoting shoe tends to bridge peaks and valleys in the soil surface irregularities proving a mechanical averaging effect to reduce the range of pivoting of the arm as the unit passes the irregularities. An actuator connected to the arm and responsive to arm pivoting controls the lift system to maintain the height of the unit above the ground within a preselected range. The range of pivoting of the shoe relative to the horizontal changes with movement of the row unit between the transport position and field-working position to prevent digging in of the shoe as the unit is lowered without adversely affecting the desired pivot range in the operating position of the unit.

摘要： A crop divider is mounted in front of a ground wheel of an agricultural vehicle to divide the crop to pass on either side of the wheel. The divided includes two diverging divider sheets with two trailing side sheets. Each divider sheet carries a free rolling tine wheel parallel to the sheet and having a hub mounted on the divider sheet for rotation about an axis at a right angle to the sheet and a plurality of flexible tines extending outwardly from the hub for rotation with the hub about the axis. The tine wheel is thus mounted in front of the ground wheel and behind the divider sheet with the hub and top tines prevented from engaging the crop by the divider sheet and the tines extending downwardly below a bottom edge of the divider sheet for rolling on the ground and engaging the crop to comb the crop toward one side of the ground wheel. The tines are shaped such that each includes an outer portion which extends generally in an angular direction rearward of the direction of rotation and an inner portion which extends in a direction substantially at right angles to the outer portion in an angularly advanced direction.

摘要： In a round baler for agricultural crops including a supply station for feeding-out a strip-like covering material for the fully wound round bale and a cutting device for severing the covering material, simple provision is desirable for pulling the new leading-edge of the strip of covering material away from the knife-edge after the cutting process. Drive shafts of the advancing roller and a detainable ratchet wheel are mutually coupled in rotatable manner by a resilient hub-shaft connection. The hub-shaft connection is constructed such that, when the ratchet wheel is detained, the advancing roller can still rotate through a small angle and thereby deform resilient drive elements in order to produce an extremely high tension in the strip. The restoring forces so created turn the advancing roller in a direction opposite to the direction of movement of the strip as soon as the strip is severed. The leading-edge of the strip is thereby pulled away from the knife-edge.

摘要： An apparatus for finely pulverizing lawn debris has a central drive shaft driven by a gasoline or electrical power source. Lawn debris is drawn into a sucking chamber by a fan impeller blade mounted on the central drive shaft. The fan impeller blade initiates pulverization of the debris in the suction chamber. A grinding blade is mounted for rotation on the central drive shaft below the fan impeller blade. The grinding blade carries a plurality of blade elements operative to effect additional pulverization of the initially pulverized debris. A distributing plate mounted for rotation on the central shaft has a plurality of inclined apertures therein for dispensing a high velocity stream of the pulverized debris uniformly over said lawn.

摘要： A large rectangular baler is provided with a crop material feeding arrangement including curved duct defining a pre-compression chamber from which a pre-compressed crop material charge is ejected, through an inlet of a baling chamber, by a stuffer arrangement. The duct includes a rear section curved about a horizontal, transverse axis and a stuffer frame, that carries a reciprocable tine arrangement, is mounted for rotation about this axis. A double acting injection cylinder reciprocates the tine arrangement between retracted and extended positions, respectively, wherein transversely spaced tines are withdrawn from, and extended into, slots provided in a top wall of the duct rear section. A double-acting hydraulic lift cylinder is provided for controlling the pivoting of the frame for effecting lifting of a pre-compressed charge of crop material and ejecting it through the baling chamber inlet.

摘要： A ground contact height sensor for a harvesting header comprises a transverse rotatable shaft, a first rigid arm, a second rigid arm and a connecting member. The rotatable shaft is rotatively mounted to the frame of the header. The first rigid arm is rigidly mounted to the rotatable shaft. The first arm extends downwardly and rearwardly from the rotatable shaft in a curved manner. The second rigid arm is pivotally coupled to the first rigid arm by a hinge joint. The second rigid arm extends upwardly and rearwardly from the second end of the first rigid arm. The first and second rigid arms defining a relatively large radius. The connecting member secures the rearmost end of the second rigid arm to the frame of the header. To maintain the radius of the two pivotally connected rigid arms the hinge joint joining the two rigid arms is provided with a torsion spring.
