摘要： A fish hook remover includes a lengthwise base member, a combination handle, an actuation rod, and a rotary arm. The combination handle is attached to one end of the lengthwise base member and a yoke is formed on the other end of the lengthwise base member. The actuation rod is slidably retained by the lengthwise base member. A knob is attached to one end of the actuation rod and a rack is formed on the other end of the actuation rod. The rotary arm includes two rotating bodies and a pinion gear rigidly attached to the two rotating bodies. A clearance area is formed between the two rotating bodies to receive a shank of a hook. The rotary arm is pivotally retained by the yoke. The fishing line is wrapped around the combination handle. Linear movement of the actuation rod causes the pinion and rotary arm to pivot.

A pair of diametrically opposed grasping members are formed in the angularly tapered walls of the angular tip with projecting edge oriented toward the handle such that the grasping members may be used for extracting a fish hook from the throat of a fish or gaffing a fish.

The support elements keep the fish replica in an upright position, relative to the ground upon which the targets are positioned. The objective is for a user to cast the fly replica onto the target without striking the fish replica with either the fly replica or the fly line. In the method disclosed herein, multiple targets, of varying sizes and at varying distances, may be used to convert this system into a game of skill.

摘要： A fishhook remover and method are achieved by a remover tool that has a handle shaped like a pistol stock and a slender shank that extends away from the pistol-grip handle like a barrel. The slender shank terminates in an end substantially configured in a J-shape, but which also includes a fork that flares out in the direction opposite to the handle. In use, the fork of the tool is preferably inserted in an elbow portion of a fishhook to allow a user to push in the elbow and unhook the fish. The handle of the remover tool includes a lateral flange. The flange is arranged so that a user, gripping the handle like a pistol, can reach his or her thumb out and press it firmly against the flange. That way, a user can clamp fishing line between the flange and his or thumb, and thereby keep the elbow of the hook pulled tightly into the fork while maneuvering the tool. The J-shaped portion of the tool allows the user to catch the elbow of the hook like the way two links of chain contact each other. A fish can be unhooked by swinging the fish in an orbit in front of the chest of the user. During the swing of the fish, the fish comes unhooked somewhere past the top of the upswing. A fish can be unhooked by this method without the user ever directly touching the fish with his or her hands.

The lid includes a bottom plate, a hinge and a top plate. The top plate is pivotally attached to the bottom plate. The top plate has at least one convex protrusion attached to the lower surface of the top plate which is correspondingly aligned with the orifice of the bottom plate. When the lid is in a closed position then a portion of the convex protrusion is slidably inserted through a portion of the orifice of the bottom plate. Each convex protrusion also has a channel set etched in it. Each channel set of each convex protrusion has a configuration matching the corresponding cutting edge set traversing across the corresponding orifice of the bottom plate. The method of using comprises the steps of detaching, freezing, getting, grabbing, hanging, hoisting, lifting, placing, pushing, removing, unhooking, and unlocking.
