    摘要: A tamper-resistant pest trap that has an outer housing that simulates a rock typically found in a garden or landscape area around a residence or building. The outer housing includes a substantially flat bottom member and a pivotally attached upper dome-shaped lid member. When the lid member is closed over the bottom member, a large cavity is formed inside the trap. Formed on the bottom member are two, inward extending tunnel cavities that form two partially concealed tunnels that extend under the trap when the trap is placed on the ground. Formed on the perimeter edge of the outer housing is an outer pest opening. From on the bottom member directly over the tunnel cavity is an inner pest opening that allows a rodent to enter the large cavity after traveling through the tunnel. Formed inside the outer housing is a holding tray designed to hold a rodenocide or a mechanical trap capable of killing the rodent. An optional bait paper tray is also formed in the bottom member to hold bait paper.     摘要: A mosquito barrier for use in catch basins and other water drainage structures is provided. The mosquito barrier is designed to prohibit an adult mosquito from penetrating the barrier, reaching standing water and laying eggs. Further, the mosquito barrier prohibits mosquitoes emerging from eggs laid downstream from emerging through a catch basin protected by the barrier of the present invention. The barrier is made with mesh of a size prohibitive to mosquito penetration while allowing water to flow through freely. The barrier rests within the catch basin, or other water drainage structure, well above the surface of standing water, such that all entering water must pass therethrough, and allows water to enter and flow through the structure with little flow restraint.

    摘要: A flying inspect trap includes large, multi-directional, oppositely facing ingress openings to elongated chambers housing UV lamps emitting insect attractant light. A disposable cartridge has two sections which mate together to form a container for a roll of adhesive trapping medium. The cartridge sections are opened and spread apart to fit beneath the UV lamps. A motor indexes the adhesive medium so that some unused portion is always available for trapping insects until the roll is exhausted. The spent roll is then rolled into one cartridge section externally; and the two cartridge sections are coupled together to encase the spent roll for disposal.

    摘要: This invention describes a cellulose bait that is hermetically sealed with a non-biodegradable material through which termites can tunnel or chew. The envelopes of the subject invention are preferably made of a soft/flexible material. Because the bait is hermetically sealed (nullHS baitsnull) in a weather-resistant enclosure, it can remain in the environment for extended periods until termite feeding occurs. Not only is the bait protected, the environment is also protected from the toxicant because the toxicant is completely sequestered until it is encountered by the foraging termites. This novel bait system does not require monitoring. Such baits can be placed in large quantities in places where monitoring is not practical and/or economical. The subject bait packs can be distributed in large quantities in agricultural fields or in large areas such as an entire city for area-wide population management of subterranean termites. The subject invention also provides surprising advantages associated with bypassing bait inspection and replacement; the subject invention eliminates nullstation avoidancenull by some termite species. In other preferred embodiments, HS baits of the subject invention can be used in conjunction with durable, sturdy station housings.

    摘要: A tamper-resistant pest trap that has an outer housing that simulates a rock typically found in a garden or landscape area around a residence or building. The outer housing is a hollow structure with a removable holding tray located therein. Formed on the sides of the outer housing are two, first and second side tunnels that bend and curve inward from the sides of the outer housing towards the center of the outer housing. Formed on the end of each side tunnel is at least one pest opening which enables a pest to enter the outer housing's cavity. In one embodiment, a large opening is formed on the bottom surface of the outer housing into which a holding tray may be securely placed. In another embodiment, the outer housing includes a lid member pivotally attached to a bottom member with the holding tray attached to a bottom member with the holding tray attached to the bottom member. Disposed inside the holding trap is a suitable poison or a trap. Optional stake and hold-down chain is attached to the outer housing is also provided to prevent movement of the trap.
