摘要: An insect detection system includes a plurality of traps comprising an attraction source, a communication module, a motion sensor, and one or more environmental sensors. The insect detection system includes a plurality of accelerometers configured to measure vibrations in a tree and is electronically coupled with at least one of the plurality of traps, and one or more power controllers, where each of the power controllers supplies electrical energy to one or more traps and one or more accelerometers. The insect detection system includes a server computer having a processor and a computer readable medium, wherein the server computer is in communication with each trap of the plurality of traps and is configured to receive environmental data from each of the plurality of traps and vibration data from each of the plurality of accelerometers.

摘要: There is disclosed an apparatus for intercepting and capturing crawling insects, comprising: a receptacle base, the receptacle base having an outer wall and an inner landing forming an entrapment cavity therebetween; and a removable lid adapted to engage the inner landing and substantially cover the receptacle base while forming a continuous opening between the lid and the outer wall of the receptacle base. A replaceable pad and a removable tray may be positioned between the receptacle base and removable lid to attract, immobilize, and exterminate insects. The apparatus is suitable for at least partially supporting the weight of an article placed thereon. In an embodiment, the article is a piece of furniture, and a plurality of units are positioned to each receive one leg of the piece of furniture thereon, such as a bed, sofa, upholstered items, and chairs. The apparatus is also suitable for use with any other articles which require protection from crawling insects.

摘要: A cockroach trap includes a case including an opening and first and second compartments; a guide assembly disposed above the first compartment and including a channel communicating with the opening, and a bossed hole communicating with the channel; an open reservoir releasably disposed in the first compartment; a bait passageway in an upper portion of the reservoir and communicating with both the channel and the reservoir; an entrance sensor disposed proximate the channel; a pivotal trigger disposed above the second compartment and including a projection; and an air canister releasably disposed in the second compartment and including a plunger engaged with the projection, a nozzle, and a line having two ends connected to the nozzle and the bossed hole respectively. After the entrance sensor is activated, the projection presses the plunger to open the nozzle, thereby communicating the nozzle with the air canister.

摘要: A pest control device system includes a plurality of pest control devices and a data collector. The system may further include the data collector in the form of a gateway that is connected to a data management server via a computer network along with other gateways in corresponding pest control device groups. Each pest control device includes a pest sensor and a wireless communication circuit to transmit information from the corresponding sensor. The devices also configure to define a local wireless communication network that can relay the information from one to the next and ultimately to the data collector.

The receiving end may be couplable to an insect chamber for a plurality of ambulatory insects and define an opening to receive the plurality of ambulatory insects from the insect chamber. A surface of the chamber is ramped to provide a pathway between the receiving end and the opposing end such that the opposing end is elevated with respect to the first end via the ramped surface. The pathway has a width sized to accommodate a single-file line of the plurality of ambulatory insects traversing the ramped surface.
