摘要： A reconfigurable brim for a hat. The reconfigurable brim includes a body disposed on a plane. The body includes a hinged core that can selectively deform into a plurality of variable positions, such that in each position a first angle is formed between a first lateral side and a second lateral side of the body, and a second angle is formed between a front section and an opposing rear section of the body. The hinged core can retain each position until selectively reconfigured and allows for repeated reconfiguration without weakening the ability of the hinged core to retain each position. In some embodiments, the hinged core is a matrix embedded into an elastic layer. The hinged core allows the body to be independently and repeatedly repositioned along any point of a lateral axis and longitudinal axis of the plane of the body.

摘要： A cap protector includes a unitary rigid shell having an open rear in communication with an interior chamber that is dimensioned and configured to receive the crown portion of a cap. Integrally extending from the lower, front portion of the shell is a substantially planar panel configured to resemble the cap's bill. 摘要： A hat capable of recovering the original shape and a method of manufacturing the same are provided. The hat is characterized by preparing mixtures comprising waterborne polyurethane, water, and crosslinking agent; coating synthetic fiber yarns of the hat with the mixture; curing the mixtures in a certain temperature condition in order to form a thin polyurethane film on the surface of fabric or knitted fabric for the hat. The curing reaction products by the waterborne polyurethane component implement a shape recovery of the hat after the deformation or damage due to the external force in the initial shape of the hat.

摘要： A collapsible frame for supporting a fabric structure includes frame members which themselves can be plastically deformed as well as folded around one or more hinges. The ductile frame members can be deformed plastically to hold the fabric structure in a predetermined orientation. When not in use, the frame can be folded around the hinges disposed between the individual frame members. Folding the frame around the hinges significantly reduces the possibility of the ductile frame members work-hardening and experiencing a metal fatigue failure.
