    摘要: The present disclosure discloses a composite crossarm and a power transmission tower. The composite crossarm includes a post insulator and three suspension insulators. The post insulator and the suspension insulators each has an end configured to be connected to a tower body of the power transmission tower, and another end connected together to form an end of the composite crossarm that is configured to attach a transmission line. The three suspension insulators are arranged at intervals around the post insulator. Axes of two suspension insulators and an axis of the post insulator are in the same plane. The two suspension insulators whose axes are in the same plane as the axis of the post insulator are defined as first suspension insulators, the remaining suspension insulator is defined as a second suspension insulator. The two first suspension insulators form an angle ranged from 45° to 90°.

The method includes removing an insulator strand from an insulator aperture of a spacer fitting, abrading a first outer surface and a second outer surface of the spacer fitting connected to the utility support structure to create roughen the first and second outer surfaces, positioning a front plate against a portion of the first outer surface, positioning a back plate against a portion of the second outer surface, and clamping the front plate and the back plate to the spacer fitting. The method may be used to repair spacer fittings for supporting utility transmission wires or cables.

    摘要: A universal clamp assembly for receiving an electrical conductor having a variety of diameters without exchanging parts. An insulator includes a support fitting thereon. The clamp assembly includes a keeper fixed to an end of the fitting with two guide arms disposed along two sides thereof. An internally threaded bore in the keeper has a longitudinal axis. An externally threaded bolt is threadedly received in the bore. The assembly also includes a clamp member relatively rotatably receiving and axially restraining the bolt and located adjacent to the keeper for translational movement of the clamp member relative to the keeper along the longitudinal axis of the bolt. The clamp member includes two axially extending sliding arms adjacent the two guide arms. Rotation of the bolt along the longitudinal axis moves the clamp member towards and away from the keeper.

    摘要: A device providing an insulating support for an electrical conductor includes a body having a through bore with an upper, cylindrical portion and a lower, threaded portion. A hook extends integrally from the upper end of the body over the upper end of the cylindrical bore. A piston in the cylindrical bore has an upper end for mating engagement with the hook to define a fully enclosed passageway surrounding the conductor upon movement of the piston from an initial position, wherein the conductor may be moved laterally to a position between the hook and the upper end of the piston, to a terminal position wherein the conductor is fully surrounded by surface portions of the hook and piston. A threaded insert is engaged in the threaded portion of the body axial bore. A passageway through the insert has a one-way valve for injection of silicone gel into the cylindrical portion of the body bore to move the piston from its initial to its terminal position. An internally threaded, blind bore in the insert is provided for mounting the device on a threaded shaft such as those conventionally positioned on utility poles.
