The solid particulate composition comprises 0.1 wt % or more based on the total weight of said particulate composition of a particulate hygroscopic material. The solid particulate composition is non-dusting in humid atmospheres.

摘要： An apparatus for a dental instrument and specifically for a dental curette. The dental instrument comprises a handle having a first end and a second end. The handle has a substantially elongate form, and is molded from a composite of nonmetallic components. The handle also includes a first tip and a second tip that are received into the first end and the second end of the handle, respectively. The first tip and the second tip include metal tools, preferably formed from a stainless steel. The handle includes a core component comprising of a substantially rigid material, and a grip component comprising of a substantially elastic material. Selected thermosetting or thermoplastic polymeric casting resins, which are autoclaveable and chemclaveable, provide the desired tactile and structural qualities for the core component and the grip component.

摘要： A dental device includes a removable dental restoration device having at least one sector positionable adjacent an opening of a salivary gland of a human wearer. At least one chamber is provided for storing a material for administration. The chamber has a permeable wall disposed near the sector. The dental device has a tube having one end connected in fluid communication with the chamber and an opening therethrough at a predetermined position in spaced relation from the one end. Shutters are provided to effect a shutting and an opening of the permeable wall and the tube opening. The permeability of the wall permits saliva to enter the chambers to dissolve the administration material, and the concentration gradient in the tube results in a gradual diffusion of the solution into the mouth.

摘要： An endodontic irrigator tip having a cannula with an annealed distal portion and a proximal portion enables the cannula to easily move within a root canal. The cannula extends from a hub that is adapted for coupling with a syringe or other delivery device. The cannula has an outlet orifice for delivering an irrigant out of the endodontic irrigator tip and into the root canal. The outlet orifice may be defined by a rounded rim that optimally enables the distal insertion end of the cannula to be advanced within the root canal.

A clamping device is designed and arranged to rotatably connect the closure cap to the capsule body in the opening region to be in opposite fluid-sealing relationship. An unbent application cannula is fixedly mounted to the closure cap at an angle of approximately 10° to 80° with respect to the longitudinal axis of the capsule body.

摘要： An oral hygiene system comprising a hand-held instrument attached to a mobile cart by an accessory hose. The instrument has two main components: a pistol-grip hand-piece, and an individualized patient attachment. The pistol-grip hand-piece includes irrigation, suction and brush speed controls, as well as an adjustable swivel piece for changing the orientation of the attachment. Inside the hand-piece is a light source with fiberoptic tubing which channels light to the attachment, and a two speed electric motor which powers a rotary brush. The attachment itself is a relatively inexpensive component, one of which is assigned to each patient. It is cylindrical with a right angle curve at the distal end, to which is attached a disposable rotary brush. An orifice for the suction, and irrigation portal, and the fiberoptic lighting are also located at the distal end of the attachment. The proximal end of the attachment attaches to the hand-piece at the swivel piece and a disposable, clear, plastic shield attaches to the attachment mechanism to protect the hand-piece from splatters.
