摘要: New and useful systems, apparatuses, and methods for providing negative-pressure therapy with instillation of topical treatment solutions are described. An apparatus may comprise an exudate container, a solution source, and a pneumatically-actuated instillation regulator. The instillation regulator may be coupled to the exudate container and to the solution source, and negative pressure from a negative-pressure source can actuate the instillation regulator. In some embodiments, a negative-pressure source may be configured for a negative-pressure interval and a venting interval, and the instillation regulator can be configured to draw instillation solution from the solution source during a negative-pressure interval and to instill the solution to a dressing during a venting interval.

摘要: A coaxial draining tube, particularly for chest draining systems, includes an inner tube, which has a first opening, and an outer tube, which has a second opening. The inner tube is enclosed within the outer tube and has a smaller diameter than the second opening of the outer tube. The first and second tubes are mutually coupled by way of a supporting component and include one or more holes adapted to allow the passage of air from the chest cavity to the first opening of the inner tube and one or more holes adapted to allow the passage of liquids from the chest cavity to the second opening of the outer tube. The one or more holes are provided in the portion of the coaxial draining tube that is intended to be inserted in the chest cavity of a patient.

摘要: A hub defines a lumen with a longitudinal axis along the length of the hub. An outer surface of a distal portion of the hub tapers inwardly toward the longitudinal axis as the distal portion extends distally. A strain relief includes a proximal portion configured to receive the distal portion of the hub. The strain relief defines a lumen that substantially aligns with the hub lumen when the proximal portion receives the hub. The hub and/or strain relief are configured to be fixedly attached to a catheter body such that a catheter body lumen substantially aligns with the hub lumen and the strain relief lumen when the strain relief receives the distal portion of the hub. Outer surfaces of the strain relief and hub define substantially similar distances to the longitudinal axis along an interface between the two outer surfaces when the strain relief receives the hub.

摘要: A microcatheter system is disclosed which may include a microcatheter, one or more microcatheter extensions, and/or a microcatheter hub. In an embodiment, the microcatheter has a plurality of zones where the outside diameter of each zone from the distal to the proximal end has an outside diameter that is the same as or greater than the previous zone while the inside diameter is constant throughout the microcatheter length. In a further embodiment, a unique joining mechanism is employed for coupling a microcatheter to a microcatheter extension or to a microcatheter hub. In a further embodiment, the microcatheter has at least one perforation along a sidewall of the microcatheter.

摘要: A catheter connector device is provided including a device housing having a first port and a second port. A fixed sleeve support portion and a flexible, cantilevered sleeve cover extend longitudinally within a housing interior, to carry a flexible tubular sleeve having a sleeve through bore extending from the first port to the second port, for removable insertion of a catheter. The sleeve cover has a first portion, a second portion extending from the first portion and a third portion narrower than the first portion extending from the second portion. A slidable catheter lock switch, or slide button, is positional between a catheter-unlocking position adjacent to the third portion of the sleeve cover and a catheter-locking position engaging the first portion of the sleeve cover and flexing the tubular sleeve cover to crimp the tubular sleeve and retain the catheter within.
