摘要： Described is a process for stringing rackets for ball games, in particular tennis, with individual strings, and a tensioning device which is suitable for that purpose. Instead of the individual string which is introduced into the racket and arrested at one edge of the racket being gripped for the purposes of applying the required tensile force at the smooth individual string by means of clamping jaws, the tensile force is applied to a thickening on the string. In that way the individual string can be gripped and tensioned substantially more easily than hitherto. A suitable tensioning device for that purpose is also described.

摘要： A racket for tennis or squash has a frame extending around a generally planar head area and a plurality of holes are provided therein so as to extend in the plane of the area and open into the latter. A plurality of strings are arranged in the area and connectors are provided for securing the ends of the strings in respective corresponding holes. The connector structure includes a string connector assemblage for each end of each string. Each string connector assemblage includes a coupling element rigidly secured to each end of a string and each coupling element includes a shoulder surface facing away from the end where the coupling element is secured and toward the other end of the string. Each connector assemblage also includes a locating element in the corresponding hole and having an abutment surface facing away from the area. The string and the coupling element are adapted to be pushed into the corresponding hole together so that the surfaces become engaged to hold the coupling element and the string in a predetermined string tensioning position relative to the racket frame.

摘要： A stringing system for a racket consisting of two elements, a prewoven net of individual strings and a two piece fixing device, acting as a string clamp in the string hole of a racket frame under the string's own tension. A first member of the fixing device is tubular in shape and is designed to extend through the interior of the racket frame hole. Its upper portion extends outward from the frame hole and has a slot which separates it into two half shells. A second member of the fixing device is placed over the frame hole and is located entirely exteriorly of the hole. The exterior surface of the second member is adapted to the profile of the racket frame. During stringing of the racket, the first member is placed inside the second member and into the frame hole. The string is passed through the hole in the first member, such that when the first member slides into the second member, its two half shells are pressed together around the string to hold the string in place when under tension.

摘要： A racket for ball games, in particular tennis, comprises a stringing system in the form of individual strings. The individual strings are each held in the racket frame by means of rivet sleeves, with the rivet heads bearing against the outer edges of the holes in the racket frame. In the event of a string breaking, there is no reaction on the adjoining strings, and only the broken string has to be changed. The individual strings which are provided for the first stringing or for replacement stringing have a fixedly disposed rivet sleeve at one end. In addition there is a loose rivet sleeve which is intended for being pushed on and connected after the string has been inserted into oppositely disposed holes. In addition described is a stringing device of simple design, by means of which individual strings can be easily replaced even by technically unskilled persons.
