    摘要: In a method and apparatus for cleaning filters in which raw gas with particles suspended therein is conducted from a raw gas space to a clean gas space and through which intermittently a back-flushing gas is conducted from the clean gas space to the raw gas space, a flow dynamic control element is disposed in the clean gas space which blocks the outflow of gas from the clean gas space when a back-flushing gas is admitted to the clean gas space under a pressure, which exceeds the filter operating pressure so as to prevent excessive back-flushing gas losses during back-flushing. The flow dynamic control element is switched between an open and a blocking state by the pressure changes in the clean gas space without including any movable parts.

    摘要: A filtering system with an improved backwashing capability includes influent and effluent means, and uses plastic beads as the filtering medium. The system further includes a plurality of backwash jets that eject water under pressure at angles such that the force of the water contacting the filter beads breaks apart the beads. Separating the filter beads allows the backwash operation to provide a far more thorough cleaning of the filter tank. This leads to improved performance of the filter and extended life of the filter media.

    摘要: The filter has a framework with an inlet end, a solids outlet end and an outlet for a separated product between the ends. A fabric filter extends in the framework from end to end and is supported by movable rings, resilient members and dampers enabling axial extension and contraction of the filter. The resilient members, rings and dampers form a unit removable from the framework. A propeller turbine extends through the filter and is supported at opposite ends, and a drive is coupled with the turbine at the one end of the framework. A quick assembly/disassembly mechanism with a rail extends along the framework and is engageable with its cap for removing same and affording access to the unit enabling withdrawal of the unit from said framework and reinsertion of a filter unit composed of a filter and respective movable rings, resilient members and dampers.

    摘要: A backflushable filtering apparatus for fuel or luboil filter of a motor includes inlet and outlet flow channels, parallel filtering elements open from their ends, in which infiltration occurs from through their jackets, and washing organs at different ends of the filtering elements, the organs connecting alternately to different ends of the filtering elements to provide discharge channels for the backflushing of elements generated by the pressure of the filtered flow. Each of the filtering elements is divided in two by a solid partition or constriction between its ends so that the connected washing organ generates backflushing only to a part of the element length at a time. The parts of the filtering element are functionally independent, and the one part may be backflushed at the same time as the filtering goes on in the other part.

    摘要: A system for limiting the size of particulate matter entering a septic tank pump contains a strainer that has a straining screen through which the pump draws liquid from the septic tank. A nozzle receives some of the effluent being pumped by the pump and is aimed toward the screen for directing effluent toward the screen to dislodge particulate matter from an area of the screen while the pump draws liquid through the screen. The screen and nozzle are arranged for relative movement so that the area of the screen being acted on by the effluent from the nozzle changes as the pump operates. Various embodiments are disclosed.

    摘要: A filtering apparatus and method comprises parallel filtering elements backflushable with the pressure of the filtered flow. At least one washing organ connecting alternately to the different filtering elements, forms a discharge channel for the washing flow. A freewheel clutch is connected to a rotating axle of the washing organ, converting reciprocating movement generated with the pressure of flow in the filtering apparatus and with pressure alternating with it into a continuously parallel, stepping rotary movement of the washing organ. The mechanism containing the clutch may be outside the filtering room of the apparatus, and based on the alternation of the higher pressure of the flow filtered in the apparatus and the lower pressure from the discharge channel. The freewheel clutch is articulated to a piston in the cylinder, and is moved back and forth with the pressure difference, controlled by the channels relaying the pressure and by the valves.

    摘要: A self-cleaning, back-washable filter apparatus and method for use with a pumping apparatus which is lowered into a well casing. The filter apparatus includes a filter basket having a manifold with several tubes extending therefrom. A filter sock encases at least a portion of the filter basket to block sand or other solid particles from entry into the pump intake. Pressurized gas or fluid is directed to the manifold and then through perforations or jets distributed along the length of the tubes. Bursts of the pressurized gas are directed from the perforations or jets to the interior of the filter apparatus and then sprayed from the perforations or jets in an outwardly direction against interior surfaces of the filter sock. Air or fluid bursts from the perforations impinge upon the interior surfaces of the filter sock and dislodge or expel entrapped particulate material.
