摘要: A surgical drill chuck comprising a main body of elongated cylindrical construction having intersecting main body end and main body side surfaces. A plurality of movable jaws of elongated cylindrical construction carried by the main body having intersecting jaw end and jaw side surfaces. A sleeve of elongated cylindrical construction carried circumferentially on the main body being operatively associated with the jaws for extending and retracting the jaws when the sleeve is rotated. The sleeve having intersecting sleeve end and sleeve side surfaces. Radiused corners provided at the intersection of the main body end and main body side surfaces, jaw end and jaw side surfaces, and sleeve end and sleeve side surfaces so that a surgical drill chuck is provided with no sharp edges to prevent snagging, tearing or puncturing surgical latex gloves while handling the chuck during surgical operations.

摘要: A tool holder (2) for an electrically powered hammer comprising: a tube-like tool holder body (66) which can be fitted to the front of the hammer and having a forward end for non-rotatably receiving a shank (3) of a tool or bit wherein said forward end is formed with a single axially extending slot (10); a single locking body (54) extending through said slot for releasably engaging an axially extending closed groove (88) formed in a tool fitted in said forward end of the tool holder body (66); and a locking ring (52) which surrounds the tool holder body and in a locked position locks the locking body in a radially inward position in which the locking body is engageable with the groove in the tool and in a release position allows the locking body to move into a radially outward position to allow a tool to be inserted into or removed from the forward end of the tool holder body. The locking ring (52) is shiftable in a direction transverse to the fore-aft axis of the tool holder body to allow the locking body to move into a radially outward position. A manually actuable tool release member (50) can be actuated to move the locking ring (52) between the locked position and an intermediate position, in which intermediate position the locking ring is shiftable in a direction transverse to the fore-aft axis of the tool holder body to its release position to allow the locking body to move into a radially outward position. In the locked position the locking ring (52) engages a protrusion (55) on the tool release sleeve in order to lock the locking ring in its locked position.

摘要: A workholding apparatus including a body and a drive member carried by the body, so that the drive member and body partially define a fluid chamber therebetween for containing a fluid. A driven member is also carried by the body and includes multiple displacement reliefs therein. An intermediate member with a displacement relief is received between the drive and driven members. The intermediate member prevents the drive member from extruding through the displacement reliefs in the driven member under fluid pressures of the fluid, thereby enabling use of the apparatus under higher performance applications that would not be possible without the intermediate member.

摘要: The invention is concerned with a device for clamping and releasing work tools (16) in a tool receptacle (10). The tool receptacle (10) includes on its free end for this purpose an open socket part (12), which is adapted for frictional engaging reception of the work tool shaft (14). The work tool shaft is thereby shrunk-fit into a borehole (20) in the socket part (12). For this purpose the socket part is provided with an induction coil (26) encircling the tool receptacle (10) which coil can be acted upon by high frequency alternating current for producing heat and heating the socket part (12). For avoidance of leakage fields which could result in a undesired heating of the work tool (16), it is proposed in accordance with the invention that the induction coil (26), on its surface adjacent the free end of the socket part (12), is covered over by a pole shoe (34) having a central through hole (36) for the work tool (16) and comprised of a magnetically conductive and electrically non-conductive material.

This application further discloses a substrate processing apparatus for carrying out a process onto a substrate as the substrate is maintained at a temperature higher than room temperature, comprising the electrostatic chucking stage for holding the substrate during the process.

摘要: A feeder chuck according to the invention includes a tubular chuck body with an axial bore through which a bar is passed, with a downstream section including longitudinal slots enabling elastic deformation in the radial direction. An exterior envelope with an internal conical clamping bearing surface comes into contact with an external conical clamping bearing surface of the chuck body, and is screwed onto the chuck body. The intermediate portion of the exterior envelope has a capacity for elastic deformation in the longitudinal direction, for example by virtue of oblique openings. The feeder chuck therefore has a capacity for adjustment of its diameter combined with improved radial retention of the bar.
