    摘要: A continuous method of manufacturing a face gear utilizing a tool, representing a plane which can be oriented to a face gear workpiece under an angle equal to the pressure angle of the mating pinion member of the gear set (e.g. the face gear set), and, which can be rotated around a virtual pinion axis to generate a tooth flank on the workpiece. The tool is a face cutter which performs a continuous indexing motion with equal hand of rotation of cutter and workpiece (e.g. face gear) thereby describing a hypocycloid path of motion and an indexing ratio of two cutter rotations during one workpiece gear rotation which will produce straight lines along the face width of the face gear.

    摘要: A tooth grinding apparatus uses a cutter grinder to regrind the tooth surfaces of a shaving cutter adapted to cut gear workpieces, the regrinding being performed whenever the tooth surfaces of the shaving cutter become worn. A plurality of tooth grinding data stored in memory in advance are preset in such a manner that the gear workpiece can be cut in dependence upon the state of the shaving cutter tooth surfaces so that the teeth of the gear workpiece will have a target tooth surface shape. The tooth surface state of the shaving cutter is measured, and tooth grinding data, which are closest to the measured tooth surface state, are called from the plurality of stored tooth grinding data. A grinding control unit controls the cutter grinder in such a manner that the tooth surfaces of the shaving cutter are ground based on the called tooth grinding data.

    摘要: A process for grinding a gear tooth blank to form an involute gear tooth includes the steps: setting a predetermined cutting rate which fails to result in burning between a grinding wheel and the gear tooth blank; determining the area of the tooth face of the gear tooth blank to be removed for respective grinding strokes in accordance with the predetermined cutting rate so that the metal removal amount of respective grinding strokes approaches to a constant except that the metal removal amount of the last grinding stroke may be smaller than the constant; and effecting the relative involute generating movement between the gear tooth blank and the grinding wheel in accordance with the respective areas of the tooth face to be removed for removing the metal within the respective areas from the gear tooth blank in a step-by-step manner to form an involute gear tooth.

    摘要: An apparatus for dressing and adjusting a dished or plate-shaped grinding wheel at a tooth flank-grinding machine for a gear has an adjustable grinding wheel support at which there is mounted the grinding wheel, and a dressing carriage which is adjustable radially with respect to the grinding wheel. Arranged at the dressing carriage diametrically opposite the work location at which there is effective the grinding wheel upon a tooth flank, is a dressing tool for the working or effective end surface of the grinding wheel and a dressing tool for the outer jacket or peripheral surface of the grinding wheel as well as a feeler for scanning the working end surface. The adjustment direction of the grinding wheel support encloses an acute angle .gamma. with the adjustment direction of the dressing carriage, this acute angle coinciding with the inclination of the rear surface of the grinding wheel, and the grinding wheel axis encloses with the adjustment direction of the grinding wheel support the complementary angle 90.degree.-.gamma..     摘要: A method of grinding gears is provided, wherein a workpiece support and a tool base are movable relative to one another for partial movements of the workpiece, for setting the gear teeth data, for accomplishing movements for configuring a tooth profile, and for the to-and-fro lengthwise stroke along the tooth flanks to be ground. A grinding wheel support is mounted at the tool base for pivotable movement about a pivot axis and a grinding wheel is mounted to be rotatably drivable at the grinding wheel support. The axis of rotation of the grinding wheel extends transversely with respect to the aforementioned pivot axis. The grinding wheel support is connected with the tool base by a pivot drive which, during grinding of a tooth flank, enables random changes of the grinding-pressure angle or angle of attack between the grinding wheel and the tooth flank.

    摘要: For grinding the flanks of gear teeth to modify an involute tooth profile determined by the generating method of grinding, the tooth flank area is associated with a system of co-ordinates and a grinding programme is employed that specifies involute modifying grinding feed in terms of the co-ordinates. By comparison of actual and programmed feed positions at instantaneous points in the co-ordinate system, feed corrections are applied at those points to obtain the programmed profile. By interpolation between successive comparison points, incremental feed corrections are obtained to give a smoother change of profile.
