摘要: The present invention relates to an apparatus for machining lock cylinders. It includes a first operating group having a machining station and a repositioning station, and a second operating group having a gripping station configured to grip and release a workpiece. The gripping station supports a workpiece in a first machining configuration, for performing a first machining operation thereon, and in a second machining configuration, for performing a second machining operation thereon. The second configuration is different from the first machining configuration to expose different parts of the workpiece to the machining station following repositioning of the workpiece between the first and second configurations. The gripping station is configured to reposition the workpiece between the first machining configuration and the second machining configuration. A method for machining lock cylinders is also disclosed.

摘要: A system 10 for processing work products 12 includes a housing 14 to contain the components of the system, which include a conveyor 16 for carrying the work products through the housing and past a work tool 18 being supported and moved relative to the conveyor by an X-Y actuator apparatus 20. A scanning system 21 is positioned in the housing 14 upstream of the X-Y actuator for ascertaining selected physical parameters of the work products so as to determine the manner in which the work tool 18 operates on the work products. The housing includes a compartment 22 in which is mounted a high-pressure pump system 23 to provide high pressure working fluid for the work tool 18. Also, a compact guard system 24 is positioned at the outlet 26 of the housing to prevent individuals from reaching into the housing from the exterior.

摘要: A device for cold working pipe elements has two or more cams, each having a gear, the gears being synchronized to turn all of the cams. Each cam has a cam surface with a region of increasing radius and may have a region of constant radius extending around a cam body. One or more cams may also have a traction surface extending around a cam body. A discontinuity in each cam surface is aligned with a gap in the traction surface of each cam. The discontinuities and gaps provide clearance for insertion and removal of the pipe element between the cams to form a circumferential groove when the cams are rotated. An engagement body is mounted between the cams to engage and disengage from a stop surface on one of the cams. Engagement between the engagement body and a stop surface prevents rotation of the cams.

摘要: An automatic indexing dimpler includes a housing having an interior channel substantially centered along a longitudinal axis. A cam is slidably and rotatably disposed within the interior channel. The cam includes a first longitudinal groove, a second longitudinal groove and an angled groove adjoining the first longitudinal groove at a groove bottom end and the second longitudinal groove at a groove top end. Each longitudinal groove defines a discrete indexing position. A cam follower attached to the housing engages the first and second longitudinal grooves and the angled groove to operably rotate the cam about the longitudinal axis as the cam follower tracks along the angled groove from the groove bottom end to the groove top end. At least one dimple engagable with a workpiece and operable for forming a recessed region in the workpiece is operably connected to the cam for concurrent movement therewith.

摘要: A sanding apparatus is disclosed which includes a motor and mechanical drive system for imparting rotational and oscillator motion to an output shaft thereof. The motor shaft extends upwardly through a worktable. In one embodiment, the sanding apparatus is convertible between two or more modes of operation. In a spindle sanding mode, a sanding spindle is coupled to the motor output shaft, such that the spindle rotates and oscillates with respect to the worktable. In a belt sanding mode of operation, a belt sanding belt/pulley assembly is attached to the motor shaft. The belt/pulley assembly includes a drive drum and a driven drum about which a sanding belt is entwined. When operated in belt sanding mode, the entire belt/pulley assembly, including the drive drum and the driven drum oscillate up and down with respect to the worktable. In an edge sanding mode of operation, the worktable is articulated so that at least a portion thereof is angularly adjustable with respect to the belt/pulley system.
