    摘要: A wiping blade, especially useful as a doctor blade for gravure printing and made from a single piece of unitary material, e.g., metal, is provided. The doctor blade has a top surface and a planar bottom surface spaced from the top surface. Front and rear longitudinal edges are spaced from and parallel to each other. The blade has a backup portion which has a first thickness and extends a first distance from the rear edge toward the front edge. The blade also has a doctor blade portion that extends a second distance from the backup portion toward the front edge and has a second thickness less than the first thickness. Furthermore, the doctor blade can include a blade tip portion that extends a third distance from the doctor blade portion to the front longitudinal edge and which has a third thickness less than the second thickness. The blade tip portion may also have an angled tip end at the front longitudinal edge angled upward from the planar bottom surface. A method of manufacturing the doctor blade is also provided.

    摘要: A printing apparatus for measuring and compensating for a synchronization error is provided. The printing apparatus includes: a rotating part configured to include a roll of which the surface is made of a flexible material and a motor rotating the roll; a support part having a substrate disposed on an upper portion thereof to support the substrate and formed to relatively move in a direction parallel with a tangential direction of the rotating part and the roll; a printing pressure part formed to provide adhesion and printing pressure of the roll to the substrate by changing an interval between the rotating part and the support part; and a compensation unit configured to include a sensor unit which is disposed on a lower portion of the substrate to measure forces which are applied between the roll and the substrate at a contact position between the roll and the substrate and a control unit which performs a control to compensate for the synchronization error by using values of forces measured by the sensor unit.

    摘要: This invention provides an inspection arrangement for a code symbol consisting of a plurality of spaced parallel bars of different widths and predetermined spacing, the inspection arrangement including a sheet having a plurality of spaced viewable areas which may be defined by the edges of windows in the sheet member. The windows have relatively wide portions which are the maximum width dimensions for the corresponding bars of the code symbol and relatively narrow portions at the minimum bar width dimensions. The inspection device is placed over the code symbol and positioned to determine if all of the bars can be made to fall entirely within their corresponding inspection windows. The device also is positioned to center the bars to ascertain if their dimensions are at least as wide as that of the relatively narrow portions of their inspection windows. Also included may be windows of intermediate widths for determining when tolerance limits are being approached, as well as lines for measuring the clearance around the code symbol.

    摘要: A combined printer and cutter for simultaneously cutting and printing on a record media such as a paper tape for a customer receipt, including a stationary knife blade and a rotary knife blade which, upon rotation, severs the tape therebetween. Rocker arms are provided for rotating the rotary knife through its cutting operation and to drive the print head from a position against an ink source to a position against the record media simultaneously performing the cutting operation so as to print a trademark or other indicia on the record media concurrently therewith. The stationary knife is itself the printing platen and the rocker arms are mounted on the rotary knife so that all forces involved in oscillating the rotary knife and rotating the print head are taken by this relatively large shaft.
