    摘要: A method for controlling a printing operation includes detecting at least one position and/or an extent of a register mark located on a printing material by means of a register mark sensor, and using the detected at least one position and/or the extent of the register mark for register control. The method further includes acquiring at least one item of color information by means of the same register mark sensor during the printing operation, carrying out color monitoring with at least the at least one item of color information, and determining a color deviation with respect to a reference value. Furthermore, the method includes defining a threshold value for the color deviation, and outputting a warning and/or automatically making a change from good to poor products when the threshold value for the color deviation is exceeded.

    摘要: Printing formes are prepared in assembly positions on one of several printing cylinders in a printing press. Several such printing formes are made available at a distance from the printing press, at the end of at least one sheet extruder with a sheet exposure device. A particular printing forme for the printing cylinder is distributed among mobile collector containers that are standing ready on the sheet extruder. Different mobile collection containers, with printing formes for the same printing cylinders are supplied to that printing cylinder. At a particular time, and on an operating side of the printing press, several such mobile collection containers are provided and are positioned adjacent each other in the axial direction of the print cylinder. Print formes for the assembly positions, which are arranged adjacent to each other on the print cylinder, in the axial direction of the print cylinder, and which have been provided to the printing press in the various mobile collection contains, are taken from the mobile collection containers and are provided on the assembly positions of the printing cylinder.

The apparatus may further include a planning computer coupled to the controller for generating printing parameters for each print job based on user input. Furthermore, the printing parameters generated by the planning computer for a print job may be stored as data in JDF files communicated to the controller which may be used to provide control signals representing predetermined printing parameters for a print job based on the data in the JDF files.

    摘要: A reliable method of aligning a printing plate against a stop includes moving the printing plate and the stop relative to each other, detecting temperature changes occurring at a temperature sensor connected to the stop, when the printing plate comes into contact with the stop, deriving signals indicating the position of the printing plate relative to the stop from the signals of the temperature sensor, and deriving a signal indicating the thermal conductivity between the printing plate and the stop from a speed of change of the temperature sensor signal. A signal indicating incorrect alignment of the printing plate against the stop is output if the thermal conductivity drops below a predetermined threshold.

    摘要: A method and system for optimally drying ink printed on the face of a substrate material. According to the method and system, a variable output dryer is provided having at least one variable output element for producing a plurality of dryer configurations. The method further includes the steps of depositing ink on the substrate material, reflecting light energy from the face surface of the printed ink while in a liquid state and measuring the intensity of the reflected light energy to yield a penetration time indicative of the time elapsed to dry the printed ink. The dryer is then adapted to assume one of the dryer configurations based upon the penetration time; and the ink printed on the face of the substrate material is dried by the variable output dryer.
