    摘要: The invention concerns a clock-generating circuit, which generates dot clock pulses for driving a light-emitting element employed in an optical-writing section of an image-forming apparatus and has a function of canceling unevenness of scanning-light amount caused by variations of transmittances and reflectances in the optical-writing section when a polygon mirror scans a laser beam. The clock-generating circuit includes a digital-delay dot clock adjusting section to adjust timings of rising-edges or falling-edges of the dot clock pulses generated by changing a selection for a plurality of delayed-clock pulses, which are generated by delaying clock-pulses, outputted from a reference oscillator, in slightly different delay times; and a controlling section to control a selecting operation for the plurality of delayed clock pulses, performed in the digital-delay dot clock adjusting section, so as to compensate for unevenness of scanning-light amount caused by the variations of transmittances and reflectances in the optical-writing section.

    摘要: An optical system particularly useful for color laser printers. Four imaging systems are provided, one for each color, black, magenta, cyan and yellow. Each imaging system has separate pre-scan and post-scan optical assemblies. Two scanning polygons are provided, and each scanning polygon is shared by two imaging systems. Both pre-scan optical assemblies shared by each scanning polygon are provided on the same side of the scanning assembly at substantially similar mirror image angles, to reduce scan image registration errors. The pre-scan and post-scan optical assemblies have improved adjustability.

    摘要: An image quality on a recording material is influenced by, for example, the sensitivity of a developer for use in developing the recording material. Compensating for the lowering of the sensitivity of the developer requires increasing the amount of emission of a laser beam. However, there is a difference in the amount of change between dimensions, in a main scanning direction and in a sub-scanning direction, of a dot blackened depending on the increase in the amount of emission of the laser beam. Increasing or decreasing the time duration of emission of the laser beam by a predetermined amount achieves adjustment of the dimension of the dot in the main scanning direction. Specifically, there is provided a memory for storing therein the sensitivity of the developer, the amount of emission of the laser beam and the time duration of emission of the laser beam in corresponding relation to each other, and the emission from a laser light source is adjusted by reading the amount and time duration of emission corresponding to the sensitivity of the developer from the memory.

    摘要: A light and heat sensitive recording material passes through an accommodating section and a heat-development section and reaches an optical recording section. At the optical recording section, optical recording is effected, at the heat-development section, development is effected and at the photo-fixing section, fixing is effected upon the light and heat sensitive recording material. Finally, the light and heat sensitive recording material is discharged from a discharge section to the outside. At the photo-fixing section, white light from the optical recording section is used and irradiated onto the light and heat sensitive recording material. Thus, by using the same light source, a latent image can be appropriately recorded on the light and heat sensitive recording material and the heat-developed image can be reliably fixed.
