摘要: An optical imaging system is disclosed for selective thermal transfer of a material from a donor film to a substrate. The imaging system includes a light source assembly that is configured to emit a patterned light beam. The patterned light beam includes a plurality of discrete output light segments where the segments at most partially overlap. The imaging system further includes a light relay assembly that receives and projects the plurality of discrete output light segments onto a transfer plane so as to form a projected light segment by a substantial superposition of the plurality of discrete output light segments. When a donor film that includes a transferable material is placed proximate a substrate that lies in the transfer plane, the projected light segment is capable of inducing a transfer of the transferable material onto the substrate.

摘要: An image-forming device in which an image is formed on a transfer material by superposing the transfer material with a photosensitive material on a heating drum. By altering a duty ratio of a control signal from a controller to a heater driver, a heater is controlled such that surface temperature of the heating drum is fixed. At times other than during image-formation, during which precise control is required, the period of the control signal (i.e., of on/off control of the heater) is lengthened. Thus, “flicker” can be suppressed.

摘要: An image forming apparatus comprising: an exposure portion having a light source, for forming a latent image on a photothermographic imaging material by exposing a light beam to the photothermographic imaging material from the light source; a thermal development portion having a heating portion for thermally developing by heating the photothermographic imaging material on which the latent image is formed, and a cooling and conveying portion for conveying and cooling the thermally developed photothermographic imaging material; a temperature detecting member for detecting at least one of a temperature of a predetermined portion in the thermal development portion and a temperature in a vicinity of the exposure portion; and a control unit for controlling a factor relating to thermal development on a basis of the temperature detected by the temperature detecting member.

摘要: A copying apparatus comprises a first copying device including a source of visible light, a second copying device including a source of invisible heat radiation, and a third copying device including a source of infrared radiation. An original is placed, together with a light sensitive copy sheet, in the first copying device so that a negative image is formed on the copy sheet. The negative copy sheet is placed together with a heat sensitive positive copy sheet in the second copying device so that a positive image of the negative image is formed on the heat sensitive copy sheet. The copy sheet with the positive image is placed together with another sheet, in the third copying device for producing a copy suitable for use as a hectographic master sheet.

摘要: Color prints of multicolored originals are obtained on absorbent paper by exposing recording layers to the action of electrooptically intensity-regulated laser beams so that the laser beams influence the affinity of recording layers to liquids and pigments in dependency on the distribution of different colors in a multicolored original. The thus treated recording layers are thereupon wetted and pigmented in the respective colors prior to being brought into contact with a strip of paper to form thereon a series of overlapping images of the original, each such image being of a different color.

摘要: The heat-absorbing text of a printing master on a duplicating drum is placed in contact with a dye coating on a sheet and irradiated so that portions of the dye coating in contact with the heat-absorbing text melt and adhere to the heat-absorbing text while the remainder of the dye coating remains on the sheet when the same is pulled off the master. During the following revolutions of the duplicating drum, copy sheets are fed so that the activated text is printed on successive copy sheets.
