摘要： A card selecting and address printing apparatus to select a card having specified information from among a group of cards bearing thereon coded information and a master printing address and to transfer-print the specified information from the card onto another sheet, having a card hopper for the group of cards including the card to be selected, a card feeder to feed the cards therefrom one at a time, an optical card reading and signal generating means for comparing the coded information on the card being fed with stored information and generating a signal, a card pass selecting mechanism for selecting one of two card paths according to the signal generated, a workpiece hopper and feeder for feeding paper one at a time from the workpiece hopper to a waiting station, holding it there and feeding it to a printing station in response to the signal generated, a printing means for transfering the master printing address on the selected card fed through the card pass selecting mechanism onto the paper fed from the workpiece feeder, a card stacker, and a card feeding roller for catching all of the cards fed through the apparatus and stacking them in the same order as they were held in the card hopper.

摘要： A duplicating stencil is produced by placing an electrostatically-produced image on a substrate in contact with an ink-impervious surface layer of a stencil blank, bending the image to the surface layer by the application of heat and/or pressure and stripping the substrate from the stencil blank to remove the surface layer in the image area. The surface layer may comprise a synthetic resin composition containing a finely dispersed pigment and is attached to the porous base tissue of the stencil blank by an adhesive. Bonding of the image to the surface layer and possibly also fixing of the image to the substrate in the same operation can be effected by means of infra-red heating.

摘要： The preferred embodiment of the invention disclosed herein is an address printer including roller means for feeding a workpiece, for example, an envelope, on which printed material is to be duplicated, liquid application roller means for applying a copying liquid on the workpiece being fed and delivery means for delivering a master card on which the printed material, for example, an address, to be printed is contained. Both the workpiece and the master card are delivered to print rollers which print the printed material from the master card on the workpiece. Also included is a drive shaft for rotating the roller means and also an operating shaft arranged to operate the liquid application roller means and the delivery means. Coupling means adjustably connects the drive shaft to the operating shaft whereby the operation of the liquid application roller means and delivery means can be adjusted relative to the feed roller means so that the location of the print position on the workpiece can be adjusted.

摘要： Duplicating apparatus utilizing the hectograph process for transferring printed material from a master card to a work piece in which initial feed of the work piece initiates operation of the master card feed mechanism. The feed of the work piece is guided by spring biased nip rolls to insure proper positioning of the work piece when presented to the master card and adjusting means are provided in the master card feed to permit adjustment of the operation of the moistening roll and master card feed relative to the longitudinal position of the work piece thereby permitting accurate control of the position on the work piece at which the material printed on the master card will be duplicated.
