摘要： A drum in particular for a column having rotary drums includes a lower generally circular shaped horizontal plate, an upper horizontal plate coaxial with the lower plate, and compartments in the shape of sectors defined by radially extending separating elements connected to the two plates. The drum is rotatively mounted on the column. The separating elements are formed by metal sheets whose lower and upper edges include fixing lugs which are fitted in slots provided for this purpose in the plates. The lugs extend through the slots and can then be twisted about an axis parallel to the axis of the column so as to achieve connection between the plates and the separating elements.

摘要： The drum constitutes an independent unit comprising two horizontal sheet steel circular platforms which are concentric with the axis of the column and spaced vertically apart. The lower platform is of large diameter and supports by their lower edge the files whose vertical edge opposed to the back of the files bears against a peripheral flange on the upper platform. The two platforms are rigidly assembled by radial struts whose end portions are fixed to the respective platforms and constitute separating elements defining compartments in each of which compartments a group of files may be filed.

摘要： A rotary filing device wherein mounting strips adapted to receive a container for an item or items to be stored are linked together in an endless chain and supported at each end in common recesses in a frame such that the chain is movable by tilting successive strips to provide access to each container in turn. The frame carries projections which are adapted to interlock with projections on an identical element or on a mounting bracket whereby a plurality of devices can be secured together and/or to a support. When the container is a tape cassette library case, the mounting strip may additionally be adapted to both the cassette case and the cassette itself, as desired. A spring loaded catch fitted in the recess to bear upon the ends of the mounting strips received therein, enables positive indexing and automatic resumption of a tidy equilibrium position, irrespective of the orientation of the device, in use.

A pair of magnetic members are mounted on said shaft at each side of said magnet. A pair of spacer members are mounted on said shaft on the outside of each magnetic members, the average diameter of the magnetic members being equal and less than the diameter of the spacer members. The edge of the spacer members adjacent to the magnetic members is gradually decreased to the dimension of the magnetic members. Index cards with clips of magnetic material may be mounted on said magnet and or magnetic members, the clips being formed to fit between the spacers in a self-centering manner.

摘要： A card holder for a rotary type information retrieving device such as a telephone number list, address list, and so on, in which a plurality of information-containing card cases are hangingly supported between a pair of mutually spaced rotary discs. In the present invention, a plurality of pins are projectively provided on the mutually opposed surfaces of the pair of rotary discs around their circumference and at an equal space interval provided among them, and a plurality of the information-containing card cases are hangingly supported between the rotary discs by the inwardly projected pins thereon. Each card case is formed by folding a single sheet of film material into a folder shape, and its bent portion, either in a single U-shape or in a circular shape in its cross-section, is made a pin insertion engagement part. The rotary disc has a concentric raised part at a position inside the train of the pins to prevent the card case from slipping out of the pin when it arrives at an upper position of the rotary disc in case the pin insertion engagement part is in a simple U-shaped cross-section, but has no such raised part when the bent portion is in a circular cross-section.

摘要： A plurality of rotatable card holders are disposed end-to-end on a horizontal fixed shaft supported at its ends by a tubular frame. Each of the card holders comprises two coaxial sections each of which is generally cylindrical with a peripheral web for holding the cards. Each of the cards has two notches for receiving the webs of the card holder so as to mount the card removably and hingedly on the card holder. At one end of each card holder there is provided a capstan having radially projecting spokes which extend out beyond the cards to provide means for manually rotating the card holder on the shaft. Between the two sections of each card holder there is provided a brake device comprising two H-shape members disposed respectively on opposite sides of the shaft and connected by two screws. The brake members have laterally projecting flange portions which engage radial spoke-like webs of the card holder sections so as to cause the brake device to rotate with the card holder and narrower central portions which frictionally engage the shaft between the two sections of the card holder. The screws are rotatable by means of a screwdriver inserted between the two card holder sections to adjust the force with which the brake members grip the shaft so as to permit rotation of the card holder by the capstan and yet retain the card holder in whatever position it has been turned by the capstan.
