Said axial pilot is affixable to ferrous or non ferrous surfaces and operates to recieve the pivotal bracket adapted to fit the tape measure tab and scale, thus providing improved means for rotating the tape measure housing and marking instrument about an axis defined on the surface underlying the tape measure, permitting the user to draw accurate circles, arcs, and intersecting arcs for developing patterns on ferrous or non ferrous surfaces.

摘要： A carpenter's gauge for use as a marking gauge or a compass includes a compass bar, a pin carrier, and a marking instrument holder. The compass bar is an elongated bar having a slot formed along its center. The pin carrier slides along the compass bar and includes a pin holder and a knob located opposite the pin holder along the compass bar. The pin holder includes a reference surface that lies substantially in line with a pin held by the pin holder. The knob allows the pin holder to be rotated between a first position where the reference surface lies parallel to the compass bar, and a second position where the reference surface lies perpendicular to the compass bar. When the reference surface lies perpendicular to the compass bar, the gauge may be used as a marking gauge or a compass by inserting a marking instrument into the marking instrument holder. Etched markings along the compass bar indicate the distance between the reference surface or pin and the marking instrument. When the reference surface lies parallel to the compass bar, a nest in the marking instrument holder protects the tip of the pin.

摘要： A geometric construction device forms circles or arcs with a marking instrument and simultaneously measures angles. The device includes a radius arm and a rotatable member. The radius arm includes a means for receiving the marking instrument and a disc having a pivot point and being rotatable about the pivot point. The disc is used to attach the rotatable member to the radius arm. The rotatable member in combination with the radius arm forms a 360° protractor. The rotatable member has a plurality of radius holes in it for receiving the marking instrument. These radius holes may be used to form circles or arcs with the radius being less than or equal to the radius of the disc. The 360° protractor is capable of measuring degrees between 0° and 360° while circles or arcs are being formed.
