Each protractor includes a flat for positioning the protractor against one of the two points of interest. The arm may include two attachment sections, one each of the two attachment sections rotatably connected to one each of the two protractors, respectively, and an L-shaped guide having three connection points for selectively receiving and retaining the two attachment sections in various configurations as desired.

摘要： A pivoting construction square is provided for measuring angles between adjacent planes, for drafting arcs or circles, and for quickly comparing measured angles to a roof pitch. The device comprises a first and second arm member pivotably attached to one another, wherein the outer ends thereof include apertures for accepting a writing utensil therein. A cross member is connected therebetween, one end thereof being pivotably fixed and the other being slidably disposed within an elongated rail. A locking pin member is adapted to lock the slidable end. Measurement indicia are provided along one arm to correspond to angles, while a quick reference guide comparing angles to roof pitch is also provided. Both arms include a bubble level, while one arm further includes a plurality of aligned apertures to receive a writing utensil. In this way, the device functions as a construction square, a compass, a ruler, and a protractor.

The bottom portion comprises a vertical facing side being configured to engage an edge of a flat material. The apparatus is operable to align the flat material relative to the planar member by engaging the edge of the flat material with the vertical facing side and a vertical movement of the alignment tab enables the planar member to rest flat on the first flat material.

The tool may be extended such that the graduated and leveling extensions are collinear, having a total length of 16 inches end to end. A multi-purpose tool may be conveniently used to take the place of several separate tools such as a speed square, a T-bevel, and an extended torpedo level. The tool may also allow quick determination of the required distance between wall studs, rafters, and floor joists.
