摘要： The present invention is directed to a tilt bed trailer which includes a frame platform with transport wheels. A V-shaped draw tongue has rearwardly diverging draw arms which terminate in sleeve ends that are spaced the width of the frame platform. Hinge connections extend between the frame platform and the draw tongue with each hinge connection including left and right hinge supports extending downwardly below the frame platform and the side rails with a hinge rod extending therebetween. The draw arm sleeve ends are sleeved on the hinge rods so that the draw tongue swings vertically relative to the frame platform. An extensible member such as a hydraulic ram extends longitudinally angularly between the platform front end and the front portion of the draw tongue so that upon extension the frame platform tilts upwardly and rearwardly about the transport wheels to lower the frame platform rear end to the ground for ease of loading.

摘要： A self-propelled vehicle includes a main frame which has a main-frame longitudinal axis. First and second powered wheel/suspension assemblies are connected to the main frame near respective first and second ends of the main frame. A steering system includes a hand-held steering controller, in an operator's cab, which turns the first and second wheel/suspension assemblies simultaneously and in opposite directions. A dump box and hydraulic dump box hoist mechanism are supported by the main frame. The operator's cab is supported along a transverse cab axis, perpendicular to the main-frame longitudinal axis, at a fixed longitudinal position along the main frame. A television-based pathway monitoring system includes a camera cluster and multiple viewing screens in the operator's cab. The multiple viewing screens are positioned in the operator's cab such that an operator need not change one's directional orientation when the vehicle moves in opposite directions.

摘要： A large bale loading, transporting and unloading method and apparatus including a wheeled vehicle having a flatbed with a longitudinal conveyor and a cross-bed conveyor for unloading bales laterally from the side of the flatbed. A tine carrying frame or bed is movable to a vertical position against a bale stack and bale engaging tines are actuated to hold the bales against the frame. The frame is returned to the horizontal position for either transport or lateral unloading. In one embodiment the longitudinal and cross-bed conveyors and the tine structures are carried on a flatbed beneath the surface thereof. In a second embodiment the longitudinal conveyor and tine structures are mounted on top of the bed. Apparatus is disclosed for selectively cutting off flakes or segments of the bale as it is discharged laterally.

摘要： A tailgate apparatus pivotally connected to a dump truck for automatically opening and closing a tailgate mounted at the rear of a dumpster box which, in the conventional mode of use, is supportively engaged atop and slidably or rollably removable from a tiltable truck bed of the dump truck. The tailgate is releasably secured against the ends of the side walls and bottom of the dumpster box when the truck bed is in a horizontal position. In a second mode of use, the truck bed is tiltable with respect to a chassis of the dump truck whereupon the tailgate arcuately opens in proportion to the angular tilting movement of the truck bed. The dumpster box may also be removed from the truck bed while maintaining the tailgate in a closed and secured condition.

摘要： A trailer for attachment to a hitch of a tow vehicle, the trailer comprising a bed, or some other type of load carrying portion, connected for pivotal movement with respect to the draw bar of the trailer. The bed is movable between a generally horizontal, hauling position and a tilted, dumping position. The bed includes a forward portion adjacent the draw bar and a rearward portion opposite the forward portion. An axle is connected to the bed to which wheels are attached. Blocking members contact the axle as the tow vehicle moves rearwardly, the blocking members being movable between a blocking position, for contacting the ground to substantially block rearward movement of the bed as the trailer is moved rearwardly, and a retracted position, wherein the blocking members are substantially out of contact with the ground. Upon the blocking member being moved to the blocking position and the bed being in the hauling position, and upon the trailer being moved rearwardly, the bed pivots to the dumping position.

摘要： A vehicle including a combination body for selectively dumping and spreading materials. The vehicle includes, at least, a chassis and a body pivotably secured to the chassis at a hinge. The body is comprised of front and rear ends having upper and lower edges and first and second side walls having lower edges. A hoist is provided which extends between the body and the chassis for pivoting the body about the hinge. A conveyor assembly is also included, the assembly comprising an endless conveyor disposed adjacent to at least a portion of the lower edges of the side walls and extending beyond the rear end of the body; a tailgate pivotably connected to the rear end of the body and having an opening therein to permit material to be transported therethrough by the endless conveyor, the tailgate being selectively pivotable with respect to the body about a lower axis disposed adjacent the lower edge of the tailgate or about an upper axis disposed adjacent the top edge of the tailgate; a cover assembly extending rearwardly from the tailgate which is pivotably attached to the tailgate at a pivot axis, wherein the cover assembly rotates about the pivot axis upon contact with the conveyor assembly when the tailgate pivots about the lower axis; and a spreader cooperating with the conveyor assembly for spreading the material.
