摘要： A boat trailer having a multi-wheel supported frame and an extendable tongue which facilitates launching a boat into the water. A tongue member has a rear portion connected to and forwardly extending from the frame and a forward portion adapted for releasable connection to a trailer hitch of a tow vehicle. A tongue extension includes two extension members pivotally connected together to a central connecting member and pivotally connected at a corresponding opposite end of each extension member between the forward and rear portions. The extension members are pivotally movable between the upright side-by-side stored position and the deployed position in end-to-end fashion and longitudinally aligned with the forward and rear portions wherein the effective length of the tongue member is extended by an amount equal to the combined length of the extension members.

摘要： The invention relates to a personal watercraft carrier for transporting personal watercraft such as jet skis, wave runners and the like, into and out of the water. The personal watercraft carrier has a conventional carrier frame, which includes rail supports for the watercraft, and a tongue having a handle for pushing or pulling the carrier, and is supported by one or more axles, which rotatably mount large-surface wheels. The wheels support the weight of the watercraft and carrier while traveling over soft terrain e.g. sand. The wheels are constructed so that the carrier as a whole has neutral or negative-buoyancy. As a result of the neutral or negative-buoyancy of the carrier, the carrier can drop away as the depth of the water increases, thus enabling the watercraft to be easily removed from the carrier. Similarly, the carrier can be positioned below the surface of the water for retrieval of the watercraft. The watercraft can then be easily floated into position over the carrier for retrieval. In one embodiment, the wheels are open so that water freely flows into the wheels. The large-surface wheels are typically constructed of a heavy-duty, dense plastic or metal and have a cylindrical rim and a disk or a number of spokes extending perpendicularly inward from the rim with gussets to the cylindrical surface. The carrier also includes rails that can be extended with a tongue-and-groove construction to accommodate longer watercraft, or multiple watercraft, on one carrier.

摘要： A trailer tongue that can be rolled to an extended and retracted position. The present trailer tongue comprises a housing having and interior portion and an exterior portion. At least one track is located along the interior portion of the housing. In a particularly preferred embodiment, two tracks are welded to on the interior portion of the housing. The trailer tongue further includes a rollaway mechanism that preferably includes at least one wheel for rolling along the track. In a particularly preferred embodiment, the rollaway mechanism includes two wheels for rolling along the tracks welded to the interior portion of the housing. The wheels are positioned to cooperate with the tracks so that the slide mechanism rolls easily along the tracks from an extended position to a retracted position.

摘要： An inflated raft trailer adapted for transporting an inflated raft to and from a river, a lake and other water recreation areas. The trailer is designed to be pulled behind a vehicle and to quickly discharge the raft from the top of the trailer into the water and quickly return the raft to the top of the trailer at the completion of a trip. The inflated raft trailer includes a trailer bed mounted on a wheeled axle. The trailer bed includes front and rear portions, first side portion and second side portions and a center portion. A vertical front frame is mounted along a length of the front portion. A movable tail gate frame, with an elongated roller mounted thereon, is hinged along a length of the rear portion of the trailer bed. The tail gate frame can be raised from a lowered position to a raised vertical position. A vertical first side frame is mounted along a length of the first side portion and a vertical second side frame is mounted along a length of the second side portion of the trailer bed. A first wing frame is hinged along the top of the length of the first side frame. A second wing frame is hinged along the top of the length of the second side frame. The first and second wing frames can be folded into a horizontal position and supported by a removable center post above the trailer bed for receiving the inflated raft thereon.

摘要： The invention pertains to a boat to trailer conversion apparatus. The invention includes a pneumatic wheel being supported by a support column on a side of the boat in a ground contacting position. There is a releasable arrest mechanism that arrests the support column at a side of the boat when the wheel contacts the ground. When it is desirous to convert the boat to a trailer to be towed by a towing vehicle, a latch is pulled upwardly on the deck of the boat whereby the support column will be released and the wheel can swing upwardly together with its support column around a hinge pin at the level of the deck. A continued rotation will settle the wheel in a wheel well below the deck of the boat. Thereby, the wheel will have undergone a rotation around the hinge pin from the ground contacting position to the stored through an angle of substantially 270 degrees.

摘要： A watercraft trailer support skid protection assembly includes a protective sleeve sized and shaped to fit the contoured free end of an existing watercraft support skid. The assembly includes a securing device to hold the sleeve in place on the proximal end of the support skid. The protective sleeve has a low coefficient of friction and cooperates with the main support portion of the support skid. The assembly ensures that a watercraft will be securely held in place during transit, while promoting ease of loading and unloading, when appropriate. In an alternate embodiment of the assembly, the protective sleeve is used as a capping member to protect the contact faces of support bunks associated with a watercraft lifting device.
