    摘要： A device for uncoupling central buffer couplings on rail vehicles having a rotatable disk hook includes a cam operatively connected to a worm wheel for rotation therewith which, in turn, is connected to an electric motor. The cam is rotatably operative to engage a bridge member connected to the disk hook in order to rotate the disk hook and also to engage a switch for energizing and de-energizing the motor.

    摘要： A roll-in cot for patient transport and method thereof are disclosed. The cot provides a patient transporter having a support frame configured to support a stretcher on a top side of the support frame and having a sliding track mounted to an under-side of the support frame. A pair of collapsible leading legs is pivotally mounted on the underside of the support frame, and a pair of collapsible and retractable trailing legs is pivotally mounted to the underside of the support frame and also moveably coupled to the sliding track. The trailing legs are configured to swivel from a raised position to a collapsed, unretracted position wherein the pair of trailing legs extend a first horizontal distance past a trailing end of the support frame. The pair of trailing legs are further configured to slide inwardly from a collapsed, unretracted position to a collapsed, retracted position wherein the pair of collapsible and trailing legs extends a second horizontal distance past a trailing end of the support frame, wherein the second horizontal distance is less than the first horizontal distance.

The mount is comprised of a pivoting lever with brace (a V- or U-shaped notch) that grips the rib between vertically spaced coupler coring holes and a lever tip that contacts the inner wall of the coupler top coring hole, a pad that bears against the exterior face of the coupler guard arm side and a mechanism that forcibly pivots the lever tip towards the pad on an axis roughly parallel to the coupler axis.

    摘要： A coupler to connect convertible rail-highway vehicles end to end to achieve train configuration to carry vertical loads of about 25,000 pounds and at the same time provide limited rolling, pitching and yaw actions between the coupled vehicles. The coupler includes a male member extending from the front of a rear vehicle and a female member in the rear sill structure of a forward vehicle receiving the male member and a releasable locking means comprised of a vertical hole through the male member, a bushing in the vertical hole, the outer surface of which bushing is spherical, a spherical seat in the rear sill structure upon which the male member rests, a vertical locking pin, the vertical axis of the hole, spherical seat and locking pin being the same, and linkage means to selectively extend the locking pin through the vertical hole in the male member to effect coupling and uncoupling.
